This is horrible that this passed but keep in mind Utah fire departments refer to unions as “labor “. Utah is a right to work state and unions never really had much say to begin with. This has been an issue for farrrrr longer.

Just got worse, though. If you keep paddling towards the waterfall it’s a lot harder to back up the closer you get. They are constantly voting for the oar.

I'm also in a right to work state and it sucks. A few cities around here actually agreed to collective bargaining with their IAFF chapter. What sucks worse is how many people in my department deride our unions and unions in general. People really have no idea what working used to be like and what organized labor has accomplished for us.
