Volunteer / Combination / Paid on Call Still a Probationary Firefighter
Not to brag, but as a Probationary Firefighter/Rookie, they let me use the nozzle and fight a house fire.

Idk what the industry standard is but my house has the probie/rookie on the tip for every fire with very few exceptions. We’re a combination house so there’s been quite a few times where I’ve been the engine operator for the shift as the probie. That being said my Lt said he’s keeping me on the tip till either one of us gets moved or we get a new guy on the shift.
Regardless, hell yea dude
