News Multiple firefighters reportedly shot responding a wildland fire in Northern Idaho

Multiple firefighters have reportedly been shot during a shooting incident on Canfield in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Witnesses on social media claim that law enforcement officers may also have been shot and describe the situation as an active shooter event with additional victims. However, authorities have not yet confirmed these reports.

Current press conference:

2 deaths - both seem to be fire personnel

Multiple casualties, unknown number

Hikers and such are still coming off the mountain

They keep saying suspects and shooters so it sounds like there might be more than one shooter, but they don’t know for sure

Sniper fire is still active at this time

I read there was one shooter, he committed suicide, and the reasons to the attack is unknown as there’s no manifesto. He started the fire intentionally with a flint and steel to draw in the firefighters, then shot 3, killing 2, and severely injuring 1.
