At what age did you start firefighting?

Asking because it’s a late career choice for some, while others do it right after college or even high school.

Paid on call at 18 right out of high school. Took a few to get hired (I was bad at the oral boards). Hired at 26 by a combination department, spent 5 years there before getting hired at a career department near my hometown.
