Bros before hose

“Never let go of the nozzle”
-my friends who care care about that to me, a guy that’s just happy to be there.

Being the backup and knowing you put in a full day's work has a satisfaction of its own.

Dude, you said it. I’m lucky to have seen a lot of fire in 12 years, and one of my favorite things had been doing everything. I’ve been on engine companies, truck companies, rescue squad and every job is awesome in its own right. I love being on the nozzle, I love pulling drywall, I love killing utilities, I love doing primary searches.

We got it good

Being the engineer doing gods work, keeping the recliner warm and always knowing where the remote is, also has its own satisfaction.

Shake it once, that's fine. Shake it twice, that's okay. Shake it three times, and you're playing with yourself again.

No markings on the truck.

u/PIESANG70 4d ago

Mmmm true, maybe it is from a movie shoot or something

u/946stockton 4d ago

Homie on the nozzle doesn’t even have a jacket on

13

u/MostBoringStan 4d ago

We don't even know if he's wearing any clothes at all.

Kinda looks like Fire Country

u/OP-PO7 Career P/O 4d ago

No company markings on the helmets either, I'm gonna go with Chicago Fire

8

u/Horizon_Time 4d ago

I think it looks more like Fire Country since it's more rural setting

4

u/OP-PO7 Career P/O 4d ago

Ooooh good call

5

u/Horizon_Time 3d ago

Thanks! Fire Country is so bad, Chicago Fire is more realistic. My family and I die watching both at times, but more so Fire Country lol

u/RigatoniPanini Paid EMT/Vol Firefighter 3d ago

Saying chicago fire is more realistic than fire country is like saying a rattle snake bite isnt as bad as a coral snake bite.... i mean yea i guess but do u really want either? Lol

3

u/Horizon_Time 2d ago

I could've worded that better lol

Neither is good at all, but the lesser of the two very very very unrealistic evils is Chicago Fire.

“I am a fireman for the County! 🎶”

u/badcoupe 4d ago

Wasn’t that from a movie shoot or something, or am I thinking of a different video

That was New York I think and was on a sidewalk

I ain’t a FF, but hear me out. Flip the hose around and blast the one fighting for a sec to get him to cool off.

55

u/PIESANG70 4d ago

Lol, This is the only appropriate action. Fuck man, there's an active fire going on. Looks like multiple floors involved as well. Do your job first, fuck each other up later when property or lives aren't at risk

u/Ffwoody144 4d ago

That’s what the basement is for.

Prison bath.

I believe the gray shirt is trying to sack the qb. Excellent blocking. Great footwork

5

u/Pizzaman624 4d ago

Hahaha  i just rewatched and you are actually spot on haha. Dude had perfect blocking.  Captain he was protecting better have gave him some props

Probably someone upset that someone else ate the last half brownie instead of cutting it in half and leaving 1/4 for the next guy to cut in half

3

u/wookiee42 4d ago

You're not supposed to eat those brownies.

3

u/rawkguitar 4d ago

Yup. Then you have to throw the container away in the trashcan right next to you, and who wants that kind of responsibility?

2

u/ConsciousReward2967 4d ago

So your saying it’s not just my work that grown men can’t toss something in the trash 8 feet away?

2

u/rawkguitar 4d ago

8 feet? We can’t do 2 feet!

11

u/Goddess_of_Carnage 4d ago

Really?

This is fake.

Or is it dancing?

I’ve seen 3rd grade girls sort it out better.

11

u/Blueboygonewhite 4d ago

Def stole the nozzle

u/VealOfFortune 4d ago

"We have all seen this video..." uhhhh 😒

14

u/Tasty-Maintenance864 4d ago

So we have an improperly-dressed ff on the hose who has time to pull his phone out, and a hot head trying to beat someone up, while someone's home goes up in flames. 🙄

Wonder what badly-written TV show this scene will appear in?

7

u/Spooksnav foyrfiter/ay-ee-em-tee 4d ago

Probably some Dhar Mann short.

6

u/LawyerFlashy1033 4d ago

Fake. There’s fire 1st floor window and door B side and fire second floor 2 windows on D side. That’s not natural fire progression unless it’s fully involved. There is no visible smoke anywhere in the video which is inconsistent with he amount of fire and there’s no badging on the engine.

3

u/FirstNav 4d ago

I thought that was weird too. Multiple rooms and floors involved but no smoke or damage to the structure yet? Also what kind of structure was that?

1

u/herrera_law LI NY, Volly FF 2d ago

And not a single Pack in sight lol

2

u/Opposite-Extent-9626 4d ago

Great pass protection right there

2

u/centexAwesome 4d ago

They are fighting about how much pressure they should be running. Currently it is at 80 psi and the guy in the t-shirt wants to turn it to 110.

3

u/NorgeGod 4d ago

Worth the fight, 110 is more appropriate

2

u/Sudden_Impact7490 FF (inactive) - RN Paramedic 4d ago

Obviously he wanted the insurance payout and was made the other company got there first.

2

u/Whatisthisnonsense22 4d ago

Pennsyltucky being Pennsyltucky.

2

u/superdupershaun 4d ago

I'm sure I speak for most firefighters when I say we don't all fight like two 12 year old girls.

2

u/Zealousideal_Art_580 3d ago

Believe this is Hyattsville, MD. Two volunteers were arrested for assault. One of them blocked the way for a career engine and another pulled a firefighter off a porch, throwing her to the ground.

0

u/ManchestersBurning saltiest junior fireman on this god damn planet 3d ago

Definitely not Hyattsville

1

u/Zealousideal_Art_580 3d ago

There’s been so many incidents of such in Maryland it’s hard to keep track. I think this is one from 2006, not sure though.

1

u/ManchestersBurning saltiest junior fireman on this god damn planet 3d ago

2006 handheld cellphones ford FMC first due no mutual aid in the middle of PG? Improper PPE.

PG is bad and has a bad rep but they know how to do their job unlike the guys in the video

1

u/Zealousideal_Art_580 2d ago

Google Princess George County firefighters fighting.

5

u/Smattering82 4d ago

I am embarrassed I have never seen it. One thing for sure is they are top tier career guys that have their priorities straight.

4

u/theworldinyourhands 4d ago

This is some volunteer stuff if I’ve ever seen it.

You have a multiple floor structure on fire, tank to pump open, guy on nozzle with no gear, no airpacks, nothing.

Then a fight? Come on… what even is this?

This is the kind of thing that make people look at the fire service as a joke.

Do your job, you weirdos.

5

u/LokiSARK9 4d ago

There are private for-profit fire services sprouting up in some areas, too. The lack of markings on the truck and general unpreparedness/unprofessionalism makes me wonder if that could be the case here.

2

u/GFSoylentgreen 4d ago

What country is this in? I see so many issues going on in just this short vid, like too many to mention.

1

u/Owlrightythen_84 Fire Plug 4d ago

First time watching this video. Context is, I couldn't tell ya.

Looks like a couple of man babies fighting it out instead of doing some work.

1

u/RobinUffe 4d ago

It's from a tv/tv show set.

1

u/PlayStationPepe 3d ago

And that’s a wrap everyone!

1

u/JeanClaudeVanDamp 3d ago

You know that old saying, “fight firefighter with firefighter”

1

u/herrera_law LI NY, Volly FF 2d ago

Not a pack in sight! 😂

1

u/No-Procedure5991 1d ago

I would hazard to guess that a "self-appointed" fire dept. showed up on a scene in Temu bunker gear and a truck they bought at a municipal auction.

1

u/HotAir7873 4d ago

Volunteer dept at its finest!!! Respect your professionally paid firefighters yall

Looks like some drunken vollie shenanigans at a rural department somewhere in Merica. #samejob
