Imagine trying to talk shit when you have gone defensive on a building that doesn’t even have smoke coming out of it.

A not insignificant number of chiefs were once FF’s or line staff that were only minimally useful. Not doing the hard work leaves more time for dialing in their suction game.

I used to kinda look at boots, bunker & helmet. Now, with more new gear & actual mandates to wash & keep in tip, top shape—it’s harder. Helmets might give it up or not.

Talking shit is generally inversely proportional to the true crispness of the kit or actual mettle.
