General Discussion Border Patrol agents arrested firefighters fighting Washington wildfire after they asked the fire crew to line up to check their IDs.

What do we all think of this? Seems pretty nuts to me. They are actively getting in the way of wildlands guys as they do their job out there. I dont think this should be allowed or encouraged. Firefighting is a lot more important than .... risking 20 guys dressed exactly like firefighters crossing the Canadian border?

Why couldn’t they wait until after they got back to camp? If everything was above board, why did they force the firefighters not to take video? Why be someday if you know it’s above board ? These are the things that piss everyone off. Also the fact that these people are fighting fires for us instead of raping kids on an island somewhere

I’d guess it becomes a liability if you have a group of people who no longer have a contract out in the wilderness fighting fire also again the contract was terminated for criminal reasons so it was probably a bigger deal

It sounds like the contract was only canceled because they suspected there were some illegals on the crew. Which is something that wasn’t be an issue for most of us. If someone is willing to do that job then okay you can stay

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service requested assistance from Border Patrol on Aug. 27 after contracts with Table Rock Forestry Inc. and ASI Arden Solutions Inc. were ended following a BLM criminal investigation.

And why were they canceled? What was the crime? It was hiring illegal immogrants to fight fires. Which of you polled the public I’m sure we’d all say that’s fine with me dawg.

Who do you think has been doing a bunch of the shit pay and dangerous jobs? Immigrants dog. Idk why you’re in favor of weakening our ability to fight wildfires

Show me where that was the reason. Also 2 members of that entire crew were illegally not the rest. You’re acting like a significant portion of the force is made up of illegals.
