Damper pull question

I can’t see the damper pull without a flashlight. I want to purchase a handle that I can see in a very dark firebox.

What am I looking for?

They’re black. I won’t be able to see them in a black firebox.

What type of damper do you have, a throat damper or top sealing damper? May need a picture. They make longer damper handles for throat dampers so you can see it and access it without having to get your hand up there.

Top sealing. It disappears into the blackness.

I’ve had the throat dampers. It was external and easy to use.
