What happened to next game

What happened to this studios next game? I've been excited for it since they teased it. Last thing I remember was that the studio banned pewdiepie from playing their next game on his channel for saying the n-word and it still isn't out.

The man went and started a family by the time the next game came out, we even got gta 6 before their next game even, like come on.

They didn't do it to media farm, they did it because Pewdiepie said the n word. One of the founders of Campo Santo is married to a black woman and does not enjoy his game being associated with racists.

He banned him for his wife's sake but he made it public to media farm.

Campo santo the company filed a dmca take down and pewdiepie made it public. I literally found this out in 30 minutes. If anyone was media farming it was pewdiepie lmao. I played this game in June 2016 and fell in love with the story and the ideas Campo santo had. They had a great fan base on tumblr and the only reason they started getting hate and negative reviews was after pewdiepie decided his losing revenue from the dmca take down was unjust and wanted to hurt them.

The ban is valid and you should really know when to quit.

It took you 30 minutes to be misinformed while it can take you 5 more minutes to actually find the right information of what happened. The thing here is that this is the firewatch subreddit so people will just read your comment and think "that's right!!" just because it aligns with their own opinions.

Now if we're going to talk about what really happened then it's that after the incident. The Co founder of campo Santo Sean vanaman made it public that he would file a dmca against pewdiepie and he did also afterwards.

which can be found in a public tweet Sean made on his own twitter that is now removed after the backlash that he got. This subreddit copy pasted his official tweet and talked about it.

Here's a link where they still have a picture of his original tweet where he has a meltdown over the pewdiepie incident. https://www.techdirt.com/2017/09/11/it-doesnt-matter-how-much-asshole-you-think-someone-is-thats-no-excuse-to-dmca/

Pewdiepie didn't criric them for banning him from their games he talked about this because Sean vanaman went after pewdiepies career. He went to talk to bigger devs to also ban him from their games, he talked to YouTube trying to make them ban him. He criticed them for trying to blacklist him everywhere.

Pewdiepie talked about it to show flaws in the system where devs could easily copystrike smaller youtubers at any time when they disagree with eachother potentially taking away their livelyhood. Pewdiepie acknowledged what he did towards campo Santo and apologised but there's only so many times you can apologise, he won't just lie down and die for what he did. He took accountability and made sure to do better moving forward.

This happened 8 years ago. Campo Santo no longer exists. Time to let it go.

No doubt, but people took a joke too seriously and others started spreading misinformation.
