Discussion i always felt watched in this game

hey so i finished Firewatch a few hours ago and it was absolute great. but i have something nobody really talks about, sometimes when i walk around i hear a sound in the bushes or in the forest. could this be Ned or am i just stupid? it sounds a bit dumb but i sometime got this feeling of being alone and watched and when you hear these sound its just a bit more spooky. always when it gets dark and i hear these thing i instantly run. what do you whink about this? (sorry for the bad english)

Phycological horror my friend. What’s awesome is game does an excellent job of managing to spook the player even though there’s never anything.

Im not certain but I think thats what they wanted. To make it seem like its deeper than it is and youre always on edge. Ned could've been watching or its your head put in the lonely woods going.

It’s the purpose of that part, it makes you feel uneasy beacuse you know someone’s is there but there’s not an actual evidence.

Your job in the lookout is to be an ever present eye on the surrounding area, who’s to say someone isn’t doing the same to you?

That's the best part that makes it a psychological mind games. It's even better when it's confirmed that was actually the case.

the game itself is a big mystery left by the developers
