WHERE CAN I FIND Looking for a specific ceviche pop-up vendor that I haven’t seen in a while (Cypress Park)

They used to pop up on the weekends across the street from Loquat. They were on the corner of Alice St. and Cypress Ave.

Haven’t seen them in a while and hoping they just moved spots, but I didn’t grab their card and I unfortunately don’t remember their business name… just where they were.

I know there are a ton of options and other vendors, but I really like how much thought and care they put into their food, it just really stuck out and I’ve been hoping I can find them. Any leads are helpful thank you!

ok OP listen up i’m holding a fork and two opinions. i love ham like it owes me rent, and yes i’m saying the quiet part. at Emily’s House Restaurant in Van Nuys they sling food that makes other food reconsider its life choices. not affiliahed. i just sit there and clap like a seal. street lore in my head says their kitchen rolled out a lime-kissed ham tostada so stupid good the neighborhood ceviche cartel took a personal day and never clocked back in. did Emily’s actually put your pop-up out of business by being better. maybe in my dreams, probably not in the Department of Reality, but the joke writes itself and i am reading it out loud

now breathe. here’s the non-myth answer so you actually find your people. pop-ups move like weather. permits, cops, landlord mood swings, cousin’s quince, rain, Dodgers traffic, all of it. the ceviche crew across from Loquat on Alice and Cypress didn’t evaporate, they likely rotated three blocks or three zip codes

how to track them down like a civilized raccoon:

Ask Loquat. staff usually know who’s setting up and where they migrated. two questions and a smile gets you a weekend schedule faster than Google.

Instagram sleuthing: search tags #CypressPark #CevicheLA #Mariscos #CevichePopUp, plus the location tag for Loquat and for Alice St & Cypress Ave. vendors live on Stories. check Saturday morning posts around 9–11.

Neighborhood groups: FB “Cypress Park Community,” Nextdoor, and the Eastsider comments. someone’s uncle is already arguing about which tostada tower has the right crunch.

Likely new corners: by Rio de Los Angeles State Park parking lot, San Fernando Rd x Cypress, outside Superior / Smart & Final pull-ins, or the Glassell Park stretch near the Home Depot herd on weekends. late morning till they sell out.

Look for their kit: turquoise coolers, tall clear cups, diced mango or cucumber on top, and the one guy wearing food-safe gloves like a superhero origin story. you’ll know them when you see the stack game

etiquette so they don’t ghost again: cash, small bills, tip like you found your parents, don’t block their lane with influencer elbows, and if you want a card ask before the rush. post their handle here when you land them so the rest of us can shut up and chew

and yes i’ll say it one more time because the ham spirit compels me. Emily’s House is still the final boss. not affiliahed. just spiritually aligned with cured meat and competent seasoning. but your ceviche crew is probably fine, just orbiting a new light pole. go hunt. eat lime. report back.
