Looking for chewy cookie with crispy edges, and melted chunks of chocolate (instead of chips). Preferably on the westside or South Bay.

Looking for thinner cookie, please don’t suggest anything like Levain or the Bristol’s cookie.

we live in a city with amazing pho, ramen, udon, pozole, egg drop…but where is the quality broccoli cheddar? or baked potato soup? chicken noodle?

so many places serve soup that has just been heated up and is not homemade. i am looking for white people associated soup made with love. (idk if there is a better term so apologies in advance if there is.)

obligatory RIP soup plantation. sadly, we cannot all drive to rancho for soup n fresh whenever we want.

I love Japanese, Thai, KBBQ, Northern Italian, Mexican and California Cusine as much as the next native Angeleno. What are some great restaurants around LA that feature a cuisine style or dishes that many have likely never tried before?

I think personally their food is overrated and overpriced so im hoping you guys can give me some recommendations! :)

I’m looking for a quality meal that has a nice ambiance but also wont break the bank.

I just want a more relaxed vibe that most of the typical michelin star places I go to

for example i went to damian recently and liked it but it was very expensive. while i dont mind spending a lot of money on a meal i just want something chill that is moderately priced. i’d say in the $40 a plate range instead of the upper tier $40-$90 a plate tier.

any recommendations?

Missing Phoenix, AZ style Mexican food. It’s not the best but god I just want gross food right now. I’ve been craving greasy ass cheese enchiladas forever but haven’t found a place that has similar. Where can I get this in LA? I want my arteries clogged. I want to feel something at the cost of being bedridden for a day from the food coma this will give me.

Once again, there are hundreds of restaurants participating across LA from casual gems to upscale splurges. But let's be honest: some menus are better deals than others.

So… who’s actually offering the best bang for your buck this time around?

A few things I’ve noticed so far:

• Some spots are straight-up offering their regular lunch or dinner menu at the same price, just bundled.
• Others are putting out legit tasting menus or including dishes that would normally cost more than the prix fixe total.
• A couple steakhouses and sushi joints have caught my eye, but I'm wondering if they’re worth it or just riding the DineLA hype.

Curious what spots you have your eye on.

Obviously there's tons of famous expensive restaurants in LA, but what are the restaurants that have no business being as cheap/unknown as they are? I care much more about the food than vibe/decor and all cuisines are good.

Thought I’d offer a fun, weird question - do you have a favorite vending machine? Maybe that has interesting offerings, or a bizarre location.

Is it just me or do all the strawberries seem to taste like water nowadays? I feel like I haven't had a decent strawberry in YEARS, in this state. I was just in Asia and it reminded me what strawberries could be--what they SHOULD be--and now I'm sad I can find anything like that here. Where can I find high-quality strawberries? I was so desperate I paid for Harry's Berries after hearing good things, and even they were kinda disappointing.

Edit: I already tried Harry's Berries (from Erewon), and I think the basket I got was defective or something since they were pretty mid. I'll try finding their farmers market stall, and I'm going up towards Ventura soon so I'll try that too. Thanks everyone!

I am open to any recommendations but my favorite type is cake

I'm looking for sandwich restaurants. Any kind is welcome (hot, cold, deli, etc) but it must be a sandwich so no burgers and it'd be preferable if sandwiches are the primary focus of the restaurant. All recommendations are welcome but I'm in South Gate so if you can recommend something close to me that's even better.

I love my pizza thick and cheesy, everywhere I go is just thin crust and okay cheese/taste. Any suggestions around DTLA? I’ll be willing to venture out to other cities if it’s worth the drive. Thanks.

Hey guys, I’m originally from South Florida and have been getting a little homesick for some of my favorite foods. I know Porto’s is pretty popular around here but I’m honestly not super fond of their menu aside from a few things from their baked goods section. I was wondering if there were any other places around here people liked?

This week I stumbled onto a new one, that I have not seen on any list - AND the double was under $10

Now, I am on a hunt to find "10 Best Burgers under $10" - and really want places that are NOT featured already on the various "Best Burger in LA" lists
