What’s up with the sealed-beam headlights? I really like that look. My ‘91 XL has the bare-bones reflector lamps and I was going to upgrade to the chrome-edged ones from an XLT or Lariat, but I really like the ones on your truck.

When they were making these trucks, Ford in Australia didn’t like the headlights, so all of them made for Australia had these 5x7 halogen lights.

Interesting. Maybe I’ll try to source those for my truck, though I would imagine they’re not easy to find (or cheap).

OBS solutions has a conversion kit, but it’s expensive as shit! Worth it in my opinion though!

I have never seen a bricknose with sealed beams before.

I was just going to ask about that. I'm looking to get a Bricknose from my neighbor, and the headlights are severely yellowed. I'd love to do sealed beams on it like this if I get it.

Go with what you like, but I literally bought headlights off of Amazon that look like brand new. I was super hesitant, but completely happy with it now.

To me, those sealed beams are giving 1986 Dodge caravan vibes. But beauty is in the eye of the beer holder. And the one holding the title

I wonder if its Mexican. Used to see some Mexico built Fords (and Mercurys) and they had some really weird equipment. Had one from the late 80s come in with a 3.8 carbed V6.

That 300 is one of the best engines for those trucks! Congrats on that

Thanks so much, man. I wouldn’t give this truck up for the world!

Best? No, just most reliable lol. It’s a turd

I think best reliability pretty much means best lol. Power horses aren’t the best if they’re as unreliable as the 6.4s

Idk, I kinda feel like most reliable equals best. But I’m biased.

Well what about the 7.3l diesel, just as reliable and much better of an engine.

Greatest F-series generation IMHO.

The best years.

Dude I agree, so many guys think the 92-96 era was the best, but i think they couldn’t be more wrong. That era doesn’t know what it wants to be! These late 80s bricknoses are the best!

I had a '91 long bed with a 302 and an E4OD trans. Sold it with 340K on it going strong on original motor and trans. Wish I still had it.

I'm not a Ford guy, but even I like the Bricknose trucks better than the 92-96 design. And I think the 97-98 design was just awful-looking.

My first vehicle was a 1990. Miss that truck.

Good old farm truck. About 10 MPG?

That finish and decal/pinstripe are sick. Never seen that finish in the US

I like seeing a lot more bricknose trucks with sealed beam conversions. The factor plastic headlights on these were terrible and yellowed immediately.

I have 3 vehicles with H6054 sealed beams and I think they're pretty good, honestly.

You'll look pretty silly driving that when we're flying past you in our flying car.
