Can I Buy You A Cup Of Coffee?

I loved this guy!

"Oh, I get it. You see a guy in a rural diner wearing shabby clothes and you pin your ittle label on him. Well, guess what, I am a farmer, but I'm also a beautiful, flawed, complicated human being and it's going to take more than a cup of coffee to get inside here!!"

Classic Frasier Even though he can insufferable a lot of the times IMO, I still feel like I'd like to be friends with Frasier IRL. Anyone else?

Do people in countries outside of the US think Frasier is funny?

Just wondering if Frasier humor translates. I watch a lot of British TV and love it, but the humor is a little different. Interested to hear if Frasier is popular outside of the US.

Classic Frasier To Tell The Truth: Can someone explain to me what the big deal is if your family money comes from urinal cakes and not timber?

I just don’t get why Maris, after being so cold and unfeeling for literal years, caved so fast. Like, what would’ve happened in the worst case scenario if Niles (and Donny) had told her high-society friends that her family money comes from timber? Not like it’s cocaine smuggling or human trafficking or something shady.

Needless to say, I’m a very middle-class person whose family money comes from boring desk/factory jobs, so I have zero understanding of the workings of the mind of the Doyenne of Seattle’s Elite.

Daphne Does Dinner

DDDis one of my favorite episodes.

Random fun question…

After being told he is not throwing the party, Frasier says to Niles ā€œyou have my phone numberā€

To which Niles says ā€œ#3 on our speed dialā€

Assuming that #1 is 911…who is number #2, ahead of Frasier?

Anyone else watched this show so much they've started noticing the most trifling inconsistencies? (Keep your eye on Bulldogs cookie)

If Niles had never met Daphne?

Apologies if this has been asked before but I do not recall seeing it. It does seem that Daphne was very much the catalyst for Niles wanting to leave Maris, righty or wrongly she lit something inside him which arguably made him a better and more confident man. Do you think Niles would have become the man we love today were it not for Daphne or do you think he would got there on his own?

New Frasier So I Just Finished The First Season Of The Frasier Revival, and... About The Last Episode

I don't want to pile on to the hate train, which is ideal because I didn't hate it. But I definitely didn't like it very much at all. It all just feels very flat and that isn't even comparing it to the original Frasier. Even as its own show it would be a below average sitcom.

The thing is however, I noticed the season 1 finale and Christmas special was rated the highest of the bunch and to be honest... it absolutely is the best of the bunch. Cosy in a way that actually does evoke feelings of the original series. The charm suddenly feels authentic and not forced as it felt before and as a fan of sitcom Christmas specials (weird thing to say, but I long for Christmas just to line them all up and watch them all one after another) and much to my shock... I laughed! Quite a bit!

At first I was questioning if it was just nostalgia doing the rounds in my brain due to Roz returning but I doubt that very much. From episode one evn seeing Kelsey back as Frasier didn't stimulate my nostalgia tastebuds. It just feels right here.

Is this finale a sign of things to come in season 2? I'm going to be working long hours through until this time next week so I can't continue the show yet, but if this episode is anything to go by, I'm excited. With this in mind however, the next highest rated episode is the next Christmas special so you know. We shall have to see.

Curious to hear your thoughts!!

Similar British Shows

I know there's a huge UK following because the humor is similar to British shows. As a Frasier fan, what are some similar Brit shows I should watch?

Have you ever ordered a bottle of white Zinfandel?

Niles: Building, building. Does she display below-average intelligence? Frasier: She once ordered a bottle of white Zinfandel! Niles: Jackpot! Go to her, she's a threat to herself! Frasier: It's amazing they even let the woman drive!
