question A few questions I have about the modern arc. Spoiler

  1. Fushi says at the end of the Renril arc that once he's spread his roots throughout the world, his mind will be so dispersed that he won't be able to hold a conversation. How can he manifest a conscious body if that's the case? This is something I've thought about since I heard the anime was getting a 3rd season.
  2. Why is the Left-Arm Nokker (I like to call it Larm) still around? Even if it was in the part of Kahaku's hand that was severed, it still got blown to smithereens; Fushi getting the memories back proves that it's dead, so how are Hayase's descendants still inheriting it? ESPECIALLY since Kahaku has made it very clear he hasn't had any children.
  3. The Beholder says that the Nokkers evolved to be smaller and smaller to the point where they can't be detected. However, back in Renril, they hadn't evolved to be that small, and I assume even the smallest ones would still be detectable back then. How could there be so much more microscopic Nokkers if The Beholder said that every Nokker in existence went to Renril?

Anirevo x To Your Eternity

I’m was wondering why I can’t find much discussion about this but Anirevo (or Anime Revolution) is an anime convention located in Vancouver Canada and To Your Eternity is its main event. It is also premiering the first episode of season 3 tomorrow!! I honestly was not expecting To Your Eternity to be in this convention let alone the season 3 premiere. Who else is excited to see it??

question Will To Your Eternity season 3 cover the end of the manga? Spoiler

It's probably been answered already, but will To Your Eternity season 3 cover the future arc, up to the end of the manga? Otherwise, would a fourth season be necessary?

2 characters I wish Fushi could resurrect Spoiler

I really wish Parona and Rean could have been resurrected by Fushi. But I guess they moved on to paradise/heaven. Rean I can understand because she eventually knew Gugu died and thought she would meet him in paradise, but now she has to wait for him there.

But Parona? You would think she would also follow Fushi as a spirit, especially after being murdered by Hayase and to see March as a spirit. But then she got reincarnated as Hannah. I don't understand Oima's decision for it all, but I'll take what I can get.

Also, in the chapter World of White, Fushi gains Satoru's powers and briefly resurrected everyone to reunite them with their friends, but seconds later they just explode. He says what he wanted wasn't them, but why exactly did they explode?

One of the best scenes in the anime Spoiler

The scene at the end of episode 11 where Gugu finally tells Rean how his face got injured and how he was the one who saved her from the rolling log, without directly referring to her by name. That is hands down one of the best scenes in the anime, such a special moment between them, and the lovely music track in the background that wells up during this scene. The entire scene always gives me goosebumps :)

Does anyone else like coloring manga?

Ever since I got my very first Pokémon manga that my dad got for me in Singapore, I have always enjoyed coloring my manga.

I really enjoy coloring my Eternity manga ever since I got the first volume. I watch the anime episodes while I color it and pause each scene which corresponds to each panel in the manga, to make sure I use the same colors as the anime.

Does anyone else color manga or is it just me?

What will happen to the Nameless boy's body?

I know this is a bit of a morbid post, but I was wondering what would happen to the nameless boy's body, like how will it decompose. I searched on Google what happens to a dead body when it is exposed to a tundra environment, it stated that decomposition might be slowed and the body might freeze solid, and might even get mummified.

So I made my own morbid fanfic where some explorers discovered his mummified body in the modern era and is now displayed in a museum. 😜

Inconsistency in chapter 145?? Spoiler

There seems to be an inconsistency in chapter 145, but maybe I'm just missing something. In this chapter Fushi transforms into Funa, but Mizuha knows it's him, so he transforms back to the nameless boy. Then the real Funa shows up, not as a Nokker, but apparently having been resurrected off-screen.

We know that the rules are that Fushi can only transform into someone when they're dead. But Funa shows up out of nowhere in a matter of seconds after Fushi changes back, as if he never had time to resurrect her. I hope my explanation makes sense.

I don't know if I'm just missing something but if anyone can please explain this inconsistency, I would highly appreciate it, thanks!

Manga Spoilers Chapter 116 is where the story ends for me Spoiler

I want to start by saying that this is just my personal opinion that I want to share: if I were to recommend this manga to someone, I'd tell them not to read past 116 because everything after that just really isn't as good.

I just finished reading and honestly it feels like the last 90 chapters were just a waste of time.

The modern arc introduced uninteresting characters (Yuki's family and friends), forgettable characters (Hanna) or just unlikeable characters (Hirotoshi).

The "you didn't really get rid of the nokkers" bit felt like the story was forcing itself to be stretched, and felt lazy compared to, say, "nokkers are gone for good, but humans still don't live in peace" which WAS one of the themes of this arc but it was only explored as a per-individual topic. It would've been a lot better if the story were to focus on national conflicts and wars instead, corruption, poverty, etc etc.

Mizuha started out very interesting but got "early Tonari" levels of annoying very quickly, and she just wasn't nearly as good as Kahaku who's probably my favorite character. I get that it's because she's manipulative but it could've been delivered much better.

Too many contradictions, things the characters don't question, things taken for granted without making sense.

The future arc also started out really good but just like the modern arc it didn't really hit the same as the previous arcs... Somehow neither Fushi or #32 felt like main characters. (Yes I didn't skip anything)

Then there's the finale...

I could keep going on and on but I think you get the idea.

In my honest opinion, the story can be considered over at the very end of the of the war arc, chapter 116. Yes, some questions are left unanswered and some things are left hanging but almost everything got resolved and almost all characters (except March iirc) lived their lives and died. There was no reason to come back, at least not until the very end. And you absolutely don't need to know that the nokkers aren't really gone.

Again, just my opinion. I'm very open to other people's opinions, and can be convinced that I've been looking at it the wrong way.

I love the manga and anime, but man, do you ever wish...

the companion arcs were longer?

I finished the anime and manga about a month ago, and I started singing the manga's praises so my friend really wanted to watch with me

I'm a March and Gugu lover, but man! Their time with Fushi is so short (chapter/episode wise)!!

Rewatching I just wish we had a bit of a slower burn a little bit. Like imagining they had 10 full episodes a piece or so to get to know them.

I guess what's most impressive is that we're able to bond with them so quickly. March has 4 episodes and still manages to make me cry like a baby every watch and read. Gugu as well. That we're able to grow to love them that quickly is just great writing.

But I guess that's the whole theme. The entire story is about the fragility and fleeting nature of human life, and the tragedy of such innocent people's lives being cut so short.

and the twist is that they're not gone and get to come back and live their lives... I do love that part.

but MAN imagining like... a whole season dedicated to each companion is chef's kiss 👌
