Society In a reversal of a centuries-old trend, more people are emigrating from America to Ireland than the other way around. Might the centuries-long trend of Europe-to-America emigrant traffic be about to reverse, too?
In the 12 months to April 2025, 6,100 Irish people emigrated to America. But the figure for Americans emigrating to Ireland was a third higher, at 9,600. The fact that this number has suddenly jumped by 96% suggests it might not be a permanent trend, but while it lasts, it might be a significant one, especially for Ireland.
3 million Americans hold an Irish passport, and 10s of millions more are eligible for one. Add to that, Italian passports are easy to obtain for Americans with Italian ancestry. An Irish or Italian passport is an EU passport, meaning you can work, start a business, and reside freely anywhere in the EU as an EU citizen. Even after Brexit, Ireland and the UK allow each other's citizens to work and reside freely in each other's countries, too.
Might the centuries-long trend of European-American emigrant traffic be about to reverse, too?

Robotics A $3 flat-free self-driving delivery robot in Texas shows how close we are to a 100%-robot global logistics chain.
Each Robotmart vehicle has 10 lockers, each with a capacity to carry 22Kg (50 pounds) from a local retailer to a customer for a flat fee of $3. The vehicles are Level 4 self-driving. That same level of self-driving has now allowed self-driving trucks to master highway driving. We've already got ports that are almost 100% automated - Europe's largest port, Rotterdam, being a prime example.
Almost all the functional pieces of a 100%-robot global logistics chain are here and working; every step from the factory of origin to the end customer. The last few areas where humans need to load/unload, or pack/unpack, will soon be mastered by robots, too.

Space JUNO just switched on - a giant neutrino detector that could finally tell which neutrino is heaviest
China turned on JUNO today: a huge underground sphere (about 35 m across) filled with ultra-pure liquid that flashes when tiny “ghost” particles from nearby reactors arrive.
It sits 53 km from those reactors on purpose, so the signal shows clear wiggles. With very sharp energy reading (about 3%), JUNO can read those wiggles and figure out the mass order - which neutrino is heaviest and which is lightest.
Why this matters for the future: better supernova models, tighter numbers for cosmology, and cleaner targets for the next round of physics experiments.
Over the long haul, JUNO can also catch neutrinos from the Sun, Earth, and the next Milky Way supernova - basically an early warning and a treasure trove of data.

Society Future Tech Needs Software Regulation?
Like to discuss this with the community : Every industry—pharmaceuticals, automobiles—we require products tested for safety before release. Yet software companies publish products with bugs that collapse businesses and destroy livelihoods. When banks fail, taxpayers pay. When software fails, we don't even know whom to blame.

Energy Tiny coating helps a new kind of solar cell last 5× longer
Perovskite solar cells can be very efficient and cheap, but they usually don’t last long.
Northwestern engineers added a super-thin aluminum-oxide shield that stops the inside of the cell from drifting and breaking down.
In tests under full sun and heat, the treated cells kept about 90% of their power for 1,000 hours (before, they faded in under 200 hours).
The best part: this coating uses factory tools that already exist, so it could be built into real production.
If it scales, we could see lighter, cheaper panels and even perovskite-on-silicon panels with higher efficiency.
What’s next is proving it outdoors (humidity, UV, hot/cold cycles) and checking costs at full size.

AI Open-Sourcing Peace and Planetary Restoration — Blueprints You Can Fork Today
I’ve been quietly building and publishing 100+ open-source innovations designed for one purpose: to ensure continuity — peace, education, and planetary restoration that outlasts collapse.
Here’s one example: 👉 https://github.com/therickyfoster/peace/blob/main/Ukraine/README.md https://planetaryrestorationarchive.com/education
This isn’t theory. These are public blueprints anyone can use or expand — from humanitarian armistice protocols to ecological repair systems.
I’m not asking for applause. I’m asking for collaboration and continuity. Fork, remix, build. Let’s seed systems that regenerate instead of collapse.
