Question GBP updates rejections.
Hi all, has anyone else experienced usually high rejection for GBP updates in the last week or so? Been regularly updating our profile for years with no major issues, but the same posting formula, video file type and copy etc are not making it through now. Has something changed recently in Googles posting guidelines because I can’t seem to find anything. Oddly too, the email notifications about these rejections are absent too now.

Everyone is having problems. It's out of control. You'd think a $2.5 trillion TECH company could get their tech figured out. I submitted a verification video 6 weeks ago and no response. So I got on here and made a negative comment about Google- less than 24 hrs later a denial email from Google arrived 😂 what a joke

Don't worry, they make sure to spend 150k to better hide their communication channels lol. Yeah, I have no idea what clowns are running that ship honestly. But my guess, yeah, something very minor like including a name.
I would check the ones over the last week or two and note which got flagged, which didn't and the differences should lead you in the right direction. Heck, it might even be because they are all too similar for their liking now.... Another option of the first doesn't reveal anything.

Yeah I checked them all and nothing out of the ordinary… I will have to dig deeper. Maybe it’s because they’re all to similar - that they are for sure. But they’ve all been kinda similar for years so 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah, but you know Google, they go crazy over what looks like spam. So while in reality it might just be efficient, their new AI might flag it because of the pattern. Just worth a shot. Maybe make three templates and cycle between them? That way you only have a headache for a day and don't have to spend too much mental energy on it.

I have been a victim of this as well recently doing all the right things to grow my ranking and after one year , just was suspended and no reason was given other then a policy of all these possibilities that could of been broken I reviewed my profile and found no errors. But there is also no way to get ahold of anyone at Google to resolve the issue. Just doesn’t seem like a fair practice for legitimate businesses. Does anyone know how long it takes Google to actually reinstate your gmb?

Damn this is a horrible experience I imagine. Sorry I have no real advice on how long it might take to reinstate, other than suggesting grueling persistence. Feels like a minefield at the moment with GBP…
