My company was already verified but we switched names It’s making me re verify but doesn’t work. I’ve been having sm trouble finding someone to help. Has this happened to anyone? How did you fix?

So you basically changed your name and now google is asking for reverification and you are having trouble doing that?

Two years back, I did the same and they suspended my profile. I lost more than 80 plus reviews. None of the appeals worked. At the end I created a new profile and started again. It's a google monopoly unless some more friendly platform comes for reviews.

I struggled with this last month, back and forth emails, forums, I just gave up after the unnecessary headache. Google has terrible customer service support. They only allow you to change the name “a little bit” — but if it’s a whole name change, it’s against their policy. You can also look this up on their Google support pages. I just ended up creating a new profile. This will most likely be the case for you too.

Open a ticket. Do you have a storefront with signage? If so, send a picture in the ticket of the new signage. If you have any rental paperwork with the new name that would help. Do you have an LLC and tax paperwork you could submit for proof as to what the new business name is? Busines cards? Documents of any type that would help your case?

At the very least, you may want to try updating social media accounts, possibly new verbiage on your website - all of these things can help convince Google that you have a legitimate business with a new name.
