I've had a Google One Subscription for years. I preordered the Pixel 10 Pro, which apparently came with a trial upgrade for Google's AI Pro plan. I canceled the preorder (actually to upgrade and get the XL model instead), and it canceled my whole Google One plan, not just the AI Plan trial that came with the device. I found out when all my apps started warning me that I was ~500GB over my storage limits and things would start shutting down soon if I didn't subscribe to Google One.
Not world ending, straight forward to resubscribe... but ironically I'm gonna have to cancel my XL preorder too now because I made that order while my Google One was unknowingly canceled so didn't get the store credits you get as a google One member and didn't get the AI pro Trial, which is actually pretty good and I'm not going to pass up on.

Pretty dumb behavior to cancel an existing subscription because of a canceled pre-order for a completely separate product. I doubt the sales team at Google wants this...

EDIT: Haha, just realized that it was actually worse than that. I had to look back at my receipts but I was actually ALREADY PAYING FOR GOOGLE AI PRO before I put the first pre-order in. And by canceling that pre-order, they canceled my paying subscription. Brilliant.

Considering the Pixel 10 Pro but wondering when the full reviews will be out. Will they come before the release date of August 28?

Looking at the specs all I see is that the ram is bigger but im not playing Helldivers on my phone and phone video editors suck soooo what do I need 16gb ram for?

Super zoom will be great for taking videos with crappy audio from the back of the room at all the concerts I go to. Or being a better peeping tom. But other than the camera is there any reasons to pay the extra price? I mean. I feel like the Pro models used to be more distinct from another, this is feeling very ps5 vs ps5 pro type situation

Google introduced call screening in 2018, yet in Portugal, it's going to be launched on the iPhone before it becomes available on my Pixel 7 Pro. As far as I know, the new Pixel 10 still won't have this feature either.

And this is just one example. There are many other features announced by Google that never show up in most of the countries where the Pixel is sold. There isn't even a roadmap to tell us they are working on it.

It's quite ironic that Google runs a campaign making fun of Apple's "Coming soon," but I'm the one who's been waiting for call screening since 2018.

I signed up for Google's newsletter on July 22 to get a promo code for the new Pixel 10, but I never received the email. I need a screenshot of the confirmation email to prove my subscription, but since I signed up more than 30 days ago, it's been deleted from my Gmail trash. I have a screenshot of my Google search history from that day showing that I was on the Pixel site.

Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do? I'd appreciate any help or advice.

I am planning on getting a pixel to finally replace my almost 5 year old Poco f3, and I'm kinda interested on flashing G.OS when the time comes.

So for those who are using Graphene, I just want to know what are your thoughts about it regarding your overall experience? In terms of performance or snappiness with the UI, is there like a noticeable difference between it and the Pixel OS?

Also, I am currently choosing between the 9a and 9 pro. I'd like to welcome any suggestions on which one should I get? For context I'm not a heavy gamer but I still play light games nonetheless, I use moblie data and hotspot and I tend to be in different countries because of my job(I'm mostly at sea)

Thought I was going to go with moonstone, but the more videos I see the more conflicted I am. Sometimes it looks gray and sometimes it looks way way more blue. Here are some screenshots from various videos.. Even in the same video it looks gray and then a second later it looks blue; is that what makes it so cool?

I want to get moonstone but I'm worried it's too blue/ purple. And with all the trade-ins and coupons and store credit, I don't think I'd be able to return it and get the Obsidian with the same discounts. I know, tough life...

Saw one right out of the box, some chill Verizon dudes opened one up for me and we looked at it together and deliberated. I don't see any blue in it, I can see why people would say that though. It's flat gray 95% of the time, and when you catch in the right light there's lavender. I think if people are looking for a blue gray they're going to be disappointed. It's definitely a flat gray with some lavender.The YouTuber (see below) was dead on. I'd say in the imgur link, the LAST pic is probably the closest. For other people that have seen them please keep sharing your thoughts.

Someone in this thread said it might be like last year's color with the green gray, but I'd say this is definitely a lavender gray from what I could see.

I've bought the Ringke Onyx for the last 3 Pixels I have had, but never have done a screen protector. Has anyone used a tempered glass one with that case? I'm worried with how low the lip is on the body of the phone/case that when I lay it face down, if the glass will touch the table, etc.

Fyi T-Mobile customers, T-Mobile is offering $800 trade in on most accounts for a lot of different phones. I bought an old Galaxy s10e for $100 on eBay and was able to use that as a trade in to get $800 towards the pixel 10 pro. Then I can sell my pixel 9 pro XL separately and actually make some money on the deal.

Can someone tell me why my pixel lost connection of my primary sim? I talked with my ISP but they said it's not a problem with my SIM card. So I thought maybe it's a problem with the sim slot and I changed my SIM to an eSIM. But it still doesn't work. I'm really confused because my other eSIMs work properly. Sometimes the connection of my primary SIM lost. Sometimes emergency only. Can someone help me to fix this?

If you dont need SIM slot = Pixel 10 Pro XL USA 512 or 1024 GB, only lacks SIM slot.

I'm coming from a full Apple ecosystem but I'm a little tired of iOS plus I REALLY like AI integration on Pixels, so I want to try something different and the Pixels are the most iPhone-ish of all the Android phones. Taking into account all Google promos, I should pay for a Pixel 10 + Pixel Watch just like I would for an iPhone 17 alone.

My doubt is that I'm reading everywhere that considering their prices, Pixels are not worth it and they all should cost the same as a medium range phone instead of a flagship, in particular due to the Tensor chips which are very bad. I don't play on a phone, neither do I edit photos or videos, but nonetheless for me smoothness is a must.

Currently I own a old SE2, which serves me very very well despite A13 Bionic having came out 5 years ago, and I've received almost every iOS feature from then until now. Ideally, I would keep a Pixel 10 for 4-5 years.

I recently upgraded from p6 and must be missing something in the settings. The search results related to this issue are confusing, or I don't have the same settings>settings>whatever on my phone. I used to be able to say call contact and the phone would call or ask me to pick a line to call (even if a default was set). Now it searches for "call contact"

So the rumour mill and the spec sheet on the google store show some hardware differences between US and EU models with regards to storage.

In EU only 1Tb capacity Pixel 10 Pro gets ZUFS

In US 512Gb and 1Tb capacities are getting ZUFS

Now normally there are some differences with radios between regions and this can be fully understood but storage differences are a little harder to understand.

Anybody in EU have hands on a demo unit to test if 512 really does have Zoned UFS ?

My Family's Pixel 6A Battery Debacle Continues

I'm assuming I'm not the only one who finds the Pixel 6A debacle an absolute fiasco. My family and I bought four of these phones, and three of them are affected by the battery issue. The nearest place for us to get the battery changed in the UK is over 150 miles away, which is a three-hour trip in each direction. At the moment, I can't even find any genuine replacement batteries to do the repair myself. It's also concerning that non-genuine batteries seem to be in short supply online.

My wife's Pixel 6A got a cracked screen because the battery expanded. This means the screen now has to be replaced, which isn't covered under the battery repair program, even if I took it to the place 150 miles away. The software update, which seriously limits the battery capacity, means my phone doesn't make it past the early afternoon without needing to be recharged. It also causes the phone to now get hot several times a week when this wasn't really a problem I'd noticed before.

We are now over six weeks since these issues started, with the only sensible solution for our family being to buy phones from another manufacturer.

When the Galaxy Note 7 had battery issues several years ago, Samsung addressed the issue and was aggressive in resolving the problem. They didn't try to fix it through software; they actually got the defective units back and replaced them because this was a major safety issue. It almost seems like Google is trying to make the problem go away with the minimum amount of effort.

Overall very happy with the P8P camera / video.
I like videos at 60fps, not 30.

However, when you are in photo mode in the camera app and you long press to take a video, the video will be 30fps, instead of 60fps.. It annoys the hell out of me. Shouldn't that be an easy fix for Google? Now sometimes a quick video looks worse, simply because I did not swap to video mode.

I am making the jump from a pixel 6 base to pixel 10 pro XL. One feature I'm excited about is the desktop mode. I believe they said just 8 and above would support it due to the USBC out video. Does anybody have any information if the desktop mode is going to officially launch with the pixel 10?
