As a Dane I’ve always considered Greenland a part of our hearts. Like siblings! Whenever something good happens in Greenland, I cheer. When something hurtful happens, I weep.

Given the very recent event with the US and Donald Trump my question is: Is there a way that I (and others) can support you guys?

Our flight got turned around because of “security concerns” at the airport. I get the whole hunting season thing so if anything idk why united would have us take off without being sure we’d be able to land…

Overall my experience with united for this trip has been horrendous, from baggage handling to customer service (believe it or not they got rid of all their customer service desks at one of their HUB AIRPORTS) and then this whole ordeal.

Seems the airport is closed indefinitely until they figure things out but I’m still holding out hope I can go.

Can Denmark survive completely autonomously? I mean like no part of the social safety net from Denmark, no military support from Denmark or NATO or even the EU. Like if you were completely independent, how would that work?

It makes me nervous for the people there because if Denmark gives it to you, Trump is going to just take the island, there won't be anyone that cans top him at that point. Right now Demark could use Article 5 if he tried.

I am a University Student at the University of Montana, USA. My collaborators and I are creating a case study on the long and turbulent relationship between America and Greenland.

In turn, I need the actual perspective of Greenlanders. This would be a completely anonymous survey. To reach the most people, also outside of Reddit, we would require someone to help translate the survey and share the survey. Any help is greatly appreciated.

For context, this case study is on Greenlandic Inuit's history with both USA and Danish Policies. The goal of this study is to get preliminary research on how Greenlander's want to have sovereignty after hundreds of years of colonization.
