Politicians who want to raise the retirement age to 70

Some people don’t even live that long.

Also, can you imagine working for 50 years, just to retire when you are too old to enjoy anything anymore? Your strength is gone, your faculties are gone, you probably have several health issues.

They couldn't care less about when you retire, but they don't want to start paying benefits until age 70.

This is how they keep us strapped into the harness, plus they'll be paying exponentially fewer benefits due to the huge difference in death rates after 70 as opposed to 65.

Yeah, I agree it's BS. Good for you for saying it out loud.

This is why republicans keep claiming the “life expectancy is going up” (it’s not it’s actually Decreasing) to justify this increase.

They are lying, point blank.

I hate the puritan mindset of the USA- that working 40 hours a week for 52 weeks with only two weeks of pto is somehow holy and righteous.
