No it doesn't. If you're as politically smart as you claim to be you'd understand that the dialogue of the general public does not directly reflect the working practices of a political party.
If you're making your political decisions based off an anonymous Reddit thread, I would recommend that you seek some other sources—and quick.
Good god man, let's ease up on the personal attacks. I never claimed to be so politically smart, nor do I use anonymous Reddit threads to inform my view. I'm just giving that man/woman my opinion to tone down the partisan shit talking. I think it could help us all out.
Also, I'm not sure what your point is, do you agree with the guy above or are you telling me to write him off as an anomaly?
This wasn't a personal attack at all. You said that the above poster was making people change parties, I said that's unrealistic and a poor way to choose your candidate of choice.
I know you don't actually do it, but you just said that you did.
People often say this thing: "you telling not to be [x] is only making me more [x]!" And I think it's childish.
Some people from various nationalities and of differing political opinions have been known to celebrate causes that aren't that beneficial to society.
When someone criticises a policy I like it doesn't make me like it more to spite them, it makes me want to discuss why I think it's helpful to more people to implement it.
The "both sides are the same" argument doesn't pan out.
Strong majorities of Republicans believe that police only use deadly force when necessary (80%), are impartial (78%) and courteous (74%), and are held accountable for their actions (76%). This stands in contrast to Democrats, among whom a majority believe police are too quick to use lethal force (63%), fail to be impartial (60%), and aren’t held accountable (59%). Race can’t explain this pattern: It persists among white Republicans and white Democrats as well.
Here's Donald trump's take on a disruptive person getting taken out of one of his rallies:
“The guards are very gentle with him. He’s walking out, like, big high-fives, smiling, laughing,” Trump continued, before saying to loud cheers: “I’d like to punch him in the face, I tell ya.”
“Look, see, he’s smiling. See, he’s having a good time,” Trump said of the protester. “You know what I hate? There’s a guy, totally disruptive, throwing punches, we’re not allowed to punch back anymore. I love the old days. You know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They’d be carried out on a stretcher, folks.”
You're right not all do. I appreciate you don't approve of this. But I think it has to count for something that trump (leader of republican party) is saying this kind of stuff. I mean he's basically encouraging just the kind of thing seen in this gif. And they cheered, loudly, when he said it.
So let me get this straight. I can come to your country. Go to an establishment that serves alcohol, get intoxicated and belligerant to the point where i attract your police officers. When they get there, I can resist arrest and then strike them in the head. What you are telling me is that NOT ONE OFFICER in your ENTIRE COUNTRY would react like that. Every single officer in the country of...... what country are you from again?!?....... will peacefully, politely, and NON-VIOLENTLY restrain me and take me to jail, after I punch them in the face. That is what you are claiming, right? Thats what I get out of your original post.
