Now if the cop was white and the girl was black what would happen if this video was uploaded.

The same thing... Still a cop using excessive force on a person who is already restrained.

You aren’t restrained if you’re able to slap cops.

So let's just knock her out while carrying her that's a good idea

Dunno, seemed to have worked in the video at least

He could have hit her in the wrong way and killed her. That was a serious "I will fucking end you," punch; it was not a "Don't slap me again or you'll regret it," punch.

deleted What is this?

Cops are allowed to punch people to gain compliance if they don't have any other good alternatives. He isn't going to taser her and accidentally miss and hit his friends or a bystander.

Who said to taser her?

She slapped him once, and given her position she couldn't use her body to put a lot of power into the blow. That one woman could absolutely have been properly restrained without punching her in the face.

You’re fighting the same side of the argument here.

They were trying to not restrain her and trying to minimally handle the situation from the start, which is the right thing to do. They probably first asked her to walk out on her own, then instead of handcuffing her in front of everyone they were going to carry her out.

Everything was being done as minimally as possible, which is what you’d probably want, until she started to slap cops.

You can’t have it both ways man. You’d probably be on your high horse bitching about how excessive their force was if she resisted putting handcuffs on in front of a crowd and had to pin her to the ground to properly restrain her in front of everyone.

Nope, because restraining an unruly drunk in order to put on cuffs is a proportional response. Punching her in the face while she's being carried is not.

Not everything is about being morally superior. Sometimes people just see something and think it's not okay.

These people see a pretty lady being punched, not a belligerent drunk dumbass causing problems and assaulting police officers. People here are too up their own ass. I guarantee they would react differently than they expect if they got slapped in the face trying to detain some drink idiot.

Except if they had tased her, it would have been the correct move.

1

u/leshake Nov 05 '17

They don't have time. They are completely surrounded by drunk men that might turn on them in a matter of seconds. They are basically outnumbered and have to get the fuck out as fast as possible.

2

u/ethrael237 Nov 05 '17

Holy shit, tase her? Are you out of your mind?

In what world do you think it's ok to tase someone who clearly isn't a threat?

15

u/Snap10a Nov 05 '17

Shouldn’t have hit her like that, but she was not restrained. That’s all I️ said.

26

u/PrrrromotionGiven Nov 05 '17

So restrain her lmao, she's not going to restrain herself.

Disgusting that people think that punch was an appropriate response, and goes a long way towards explaining why some police think that stuff like this is okay.

4

u/Snap10a Nov 05 '17

It’s disgusting that you’re so anti-cop that you can’t read the part of a two sentence response that literally said they shouldn’t have hit her like that. I clearly stated that I️ don’t think that was an appropriate response, and I️ clearly don’t think stuff like this is Ok, but you’re turning my my “She was not restrained” fact into some grand epidemic idea about pro-cop shit across the United States.

Relax.

u/ShwayNorris Nov 05 '17

Not just disgusting, pathetic.

3

u/rtothewin Nov 05 '17

What's the alternative drop her face first into the cement stairs to cuff her? For all he knows she dug a knife from her pocket.

6

u/Kuwabara03 Nov 05 '17

Yeah! For all we know, the chick was an undercover cop, the cops were ISIS, AND she put a tracker on his head!

See how dumb it is just to pull shit out of thin air like that? Everything a sane person needs to know about this clip can be gathered with no additional fantasies to support your violent narrative.

If your natural reaction to having to do your damn job is to forget your training and revenge punch drunk women, you don't deserve to wear a badge. Simple as that.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '17

Yes, because he attacked him.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '17

It was her idea.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '17

Yea actually.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '17

Just let the bitch slap a few babies on the way to jail as well.

1

u/1313nemo Nov 05 '17

I think you’re both on the same side here.
