I’m not sure people are celebrating it so much as they are saying “well what the fuck did you expect when you hit a cop?”

Edit: By saying it should be expected, I’m not defending his actions as reasonable or holding them up as good policing practice. I think American police culture is too quick to resort to violence and is horrible at de-escalating situations. But, that all goes into why I said it should be expected. I’m not saying it should be accepted or condoned, only that I fully expect an American cop to hit you back if you hit them.

I would expect the cop to have some restraint. Seems like we have given up on expecting American cops to be calm and level headed and assess the situation. She is just a drink girl, nothing more

I mean yeah sure, but slaps also are kind of really fucking annoying. They don't hurt, but they startle the absolute shit out of you.

It was a reflex, not really an intentional "I'm gonna blast this bitch in the face" kind of thing. Cop shouldn't have done it, but he also didn't intentionally do it.

Cop was a fucking pussy, take it like a man. We all know he would win, no reason to demonstrate it.

Yeah sure, but have you ever been cracked in the face like that? It sets your anger meter to like 100 really fast.

He really shouldn't have retaliated, but he didn't do it as badly as people seem to think he did. It was an off cuff light punch, she barely will get a bruise out of the deal.

I hope he gets fired too. I'm not really a big supporter of the guy, just saying I understand how it happened.

I'm pretty sure most people have been in a comparable situation. TBH where I live you couldn't do that, it would be social suicide.

I understand it to, but this person is in a position of authority and should not be doing that.

It sets a dangerous precedent

Pretty sure he took it EXACTLY like a man. He slapped the shit out of her dumb ass.

Maybe you mean take it like a well trained, incredibly disciplined professional? Maybe you should go be a cop, show us how it’s done.

He over-reacted, she deserved it. I call it a wash.

A man doesn't hit a woman in the face with the fist, while she is being restrained by 5 other man. He is not even half men.

Is your horse also white?

Im all against the whole white knight thing and I think you shouldn't really make a difference. But punching someone being restrained and obviously not even half as strong? Pussy.

Opinions are like assholes, they say. I've never met a prolapsed opinion though. Till now
