Do you really think those were the only 2 options in such a situation?

Assaulting an officer - 100% arrested.

They are already trying to restrain her without injury. She doesn't want this, so they are going to do it with force.

a) Let her hit him.

b) Drop her on the ground and spend 5 mins trying to get her hand behind her back with ur knee on her head.

c) punch her.

d) attempt to grab her flailing arm without dropping her and the 350lb guy behind her falling on her.

e) set her down and tell her that what she did was a very bad thing and not to do it again.

Those are the options I see.

None are good. She is at fault. She should bear the consequence of her actions.

She should bear the consequence of her actions.

No where else would the consequences be being decked in the face.

The officers failed to restrain her. So not only did they fail to do their job properly, they also failed the response when the botched job they were doing went wrong. Did you even notice that after he decked her, they just moved her down a bit and one of the guys easily grabber her arms.

Anywhere else, that police officer would at least get probation for such actions. Its really bizzare you are defending this so hard.
