I guess I assumed that when you said

Dialogue like yours drive people away from your party.

You also meant yourself in "people." If you didn't mean it affected your opinion as well, and you were just expressing concern that the original poster's party would attract fewer people because of this... okay, I guess. But I don't get why it's such a big deal, then.

That's exactly what I meant, very different from "you not liking this is only making me like it more".

It's a big deal because this type of unwelcoming dialogue from the left is the sort of stuff that will only help to get Trump re-elected.

Ok, well, I doubt that too, because Trump is currently the least popular president (at this point in his presidency) since polls began. Even if Republicans still take the White House, I'd be surprised if they still go with Trump. When Bush was re-elected he was at 60%, and his lowest rating in his first term was low-50s. Trump is currently at the same point that GWB was at when Bush was trying to deal with the fallout of Iraq/Afghanistan not being resolved and losing control of the House and Senate in his second term.
