Wow, it’s stunning. I’m so impressed. Any idea the spinning time involved? I love Targhee btw. This can be worn in the winter over a shirt and look right smart.

Thank you! It’s been an on and off project for the past few months, but since it was on my spindle, I just brought it everywhere. I used plying blocks to ply my singles, which took about 3-5 hours to ply per 4g ball. The targhee spun up faster than the silk, imo

That’s a lot of plying time. You have patience 🩵 idk what plying blocks are, but I’ll look them up.

They can hold spindles or little dowels wound with singles for plying :) I DIYed mine for like $5

Thank you so much! I spindle occasionally, once tried a plying bobbin. The results were not good. We have the required tools for this at home.

What a lovely top! It looks great on you, too. I love the lace panels. If I ever work my way through the multiple sweaters I have going, I think something lacey will be up next. Did you use a pattern for this?

It’s Aimee Sher’s Oolong Tee

I forgot to include that in my post! Like the other commenter said, it’s the Oolong Tank, but she just released a version with set in sleeves (the Oolong Tee). 💛

So cute! I love seeing handspun knit up into really wearable garments that fit into a wardrobe well. Beautiful!

It’s beautiful! I knit the oolong tee and the tank is definitely on my list.

It’s such a fun pattern! I’m making another one (not handspun) for my aunt, because she liked the pattern so much :)

What yarn are you using for that one?

I was going to order some cotton wool from Peninsula Yarn! I made a lace shawl out of it and I think it would be perfect for my beach climate
