Since you posted an Aus band, these are some of my favourite newer Australian releases, a few are from last year.

Forewarned - Only God Forgives.

Blood On My Hands - Death Through Devotion.

Volatile Ways - The Perfect Dark.

Resurrect - Salvation.

Fever Shack - Not Fuckin About.

Zero Hour - Zero Hour.

Cutthroat - Demo.

Threshold - Decent to Misery.

Splinter - The Hill I’ll Die On.

Cosigning on Forewarned, listening now and it's really fucking good.

A friend of mine lives in Hobart so always tries to keep me updated on new bands, both local and wider Australian, hopefully I'll get over there and see some of them!

I haven’t been there, but Tasmania has a surprisingly healthy scene. Severed are a good band from there.
