BUYING [BG] 5700XT [H] £120

Building my girlfriend a PC for her bday next month and looking to go for mostly used parts since the most intensive thing that'll be played will probably be Minecraft.

Pretty much open to discussions about anything people are willing to part with for a reasonable price (GPU, CPU, RAM, SSD, Case, PSU).

Ideally I'd like to get something like a 5700XT so it's relatively future proofed for whatever she'll want to play. 5700XTs are available on eBay for approx £150 so anything under that for it or a similar card, let me know 💚 Edinburgh based.

Not gonna be pushing things very hard graphics wise like. It's gonna get me 60FPS on modern games isn't it?

It literally can't run Doom Dark Ages, which came out this year and it's almost certain more games will require RT going forward, as it saves a lot of development time.

It will run many games at 1080p 60fps for now but its struggling already and with no reliable upscaling and no RT performance, it will not age well.

I sort of regret getting 6700xt due to the lack of RT, and upscaling FSR3 is not good at 1080p, I had hoped the 12GB of vram would help keep it going for longer over 3070, but the lack of features has hurt more than lack of Vram.

He doesn't care about doom. Quite literally stated that minecraft is going to be the most intensive thing running on the card, which my 1650 4gb runs just fine with 1080p 120fps.

"5700XT so it's relatively future proofed for whatever she'll want to play"

They used the words future proof.
