Plan Choice Suggestions What can regular Americans who are fed up with their health insurance do about it?

I’ve written my elected officials in government. What else can we do? It’s depressing and it’s wrong. That people can’t get healthcare easily and affordably. People are dying early because they don’t get the care they need.

The sit outs have been having actual effects on steering democrat policy.

Any actual evidence to support that claim?

The biden administration has been seeing shifts in policy generally leaning more progressive after younger people have been sitting out due to the israel/palestine conflict and issues much like the one outlined in this post that have resulted in the very least changes in posture from administration when referencing these issues. Essentially the people sitting out are a large enough demographic that the thought that the biden administration would ignore them doesn't make sense. And while I do not think a full pivot is in the cards there are indications it has and will continue to shift their stance. How much change will result from this in actual legislation remains to be seen.

I don’t think you understand what “sitting out” means. It means “deliberately not voting in elections as a kind of strategic non-vote.” How many elections have happened in the US since October 7th? What you’re actually describing is pressure from various groups that has caused the Biden admin to take a more critical stance on Israel. Ironically, if Gen Zers do sit out the 2024 presidential election, handing the presidency to Donald Trump, we’ll see a MUCH more pro-Israel policy because of Trump’s fidelity to Evangelicals.

Handing the presidency to trump is exactly the ultimatum being presented to biden by a sit out... also your explanation literally described what I was saying. A strategic non-vote. To create pressure.
