Plan Benefits Colonoscopy anesthesia bill

Post image

Husband got a pre-approved colonoscopy a few weeks ago and this was the bill from the anesthesiologist? Thank god the insurance is covering/paying but wtf? Did they add an extra zero on accident? This makes me so angry.

I really didn’t want your input at all. They were more rhetorical questions to get anyone reading to wake up and realize that healthcare in America is a scam.

Even the fact that someone has to “manage a revenue cycle” for healthcare is unthinkable in most first world countries and is quite sickening to be honest. Healthcare isn’t about revenue- it’s about providing health..and care..to those who are sick period.

And I also work in healthcare. But more with meds. And I can very confidently tell you that for newer meds, if you don’t have insurance and don’t qualify for PAPs you are 100% screwed.

Insurance and PBMs exist to make a buck off of you. Healthcare should be public and affordably priced - you know, the “extremely complicated” system that every other first world country (and the VA) have somehow figured out…?

Ah, I see. Well in the future, you could just not reply. That would be super.

No one is "waking up" because of your comments on reddit. We're all aware of how fucked our system is.

Every country and every hospital has revenue cycle managers. Even if you just have to pay employees and order supplies, there's a process for it and it involves money. I think you're confusing revenue with profit.

But thanks for telling us all what we already know. I appreciate that you're at least passionate about it. Medicare for all would be a much better system for so many people, but it's not very likely to happen.

Many people actually don’t know and think this messed up system is normal.

And no, I’ll comment when I like thanks. You’re the one who originally commented with a snarky “I have no idea what you’re trying to say”

Just like your other comments (‘that’s just the way it works’) it was fairly rude and unhelpful as well.

Maybe you should take your own advice and hold off on the snarky comments?

Nope. You commented to me first. Go back and read. It's right there for you to see. I didn't reply to you. But thanks for announcing that you can reply on reddit lol. Can you tie your shoes, too?

I wasn't trying to be helpful. You should have caught on to that by now.

I'm good. I enjoy snarky comments. Especially when people like you reply to me first when I never mentioned you to begin with.

Seems like you might be the one who can’t read. I didn’t say you originally replied to me- I said you originally commented first.

I can tie my shoes just fine but I think you might struggle a bit since your mental faculties don’t seem to be fully intact.

The flip from “I’ve managed revenue cycles so I’ll give my input here” to “I wasn’t trying to helpful” is hilarious by the way.

Here I was thinking that you were just simple and misinformed but you’re also malicious as well.

After this series of comments, I figured out what was really going on though. You’re clearly a mid level “healthcare administrator” whose job only exists because of the bloat and greed of the US healthcare system. Now you’re butthurt and feel called out because I exposed you to the truth: your job is useless and doesn’t need to exist. And it doesn’t exist…in other civilized countries.

Well I’m sorry for hurting your feelings but that’s the cold hard truth for you. You should look into a more…useful..line of work.

Anyways- I have a life and I need to go live it. You have fun arguing with yourself though. Just don’t confuse yourself even more!

Lol. I commented to someone else. You commented first to me. Do you try to be a hypocrite? Or is it accidental? You can't try to call out someone for "commenting first" and then turn around and do the same thing lol.

I mean, you can make any assumptions about my life you want. Add that to the list of things you can do. I can't really think of an appropriate word to describe how little that means to me. Irrelevant doesn't quite do it.

"I have a life" "have fun arguing with yourself" ..... after you reply yet again over the course of 2 days lol.
