IRL Sabrina hate might be fair… BUT!!

Post image

The girl is iconic lol. I absolutely loathed her the first few times I watched her. But the more I do rewatches, the more I can enjoy her for what she is. She’s an immature, inexperienced chef who makes damn good tv. I really think she carries the season. The drama brought by Russell was a “hate to hate” drama. The drama brought by Trev was a “this is sad to hate but I do.” The drama brought by King Raj was simply too short lived. But Sabrina brought the heat all the time. And quiet as it’s kept, even though she was completely wrong in her approach most of the time, she really had her finger to the pulse about most of the other chefs and their shortcomings lol. I agree she was kept on just for comedy, but she earned that.

“Nona should be eliminated because she snores!”

She made season 8 entertaining ASF tbh.

Yep. Was she annoying at times? Yes. Funny as hell? Also yes.

On my initial watch I was soo annoyed with her, but on subsequent rewatches she stole the show for me, it's just pure entertainment. But oh my god, even now I want to reach through the screen and push the glasses up her nose.

The glasses are part of the cast, just like Chef Alfredo Al Dente.

I don't hate Sabrina at all, she cracks me up. I love watching how she single-handedly kept all the chefs on that season hopping. And really, for someone with her brief experience and maturity issues, she was a pretty darn good chef. There were very few times she didn't carry her own weight in challenges and service, and several times she was the difference that got them the win.

I also think she showed a lot more poise coping with Trev than some of the other chefs would have, if he'd come after them the way he went after her. I tried hard to have sympathy for him that season, but it just went out the window with the things he said to/about her. And others as well.

I feel like very few people have the self confidence and self awareness to do a really amazing job of presenting themselves on a cutthroat reality tv show at the age of 22. I'd truly love to see them bring her back and see what she could do now.

She might be my favorite contestant.

Season 8 entertainment value goes down fast when she leaves.

I fuck with Sabrina hard!!!!! She’s definitely goofy but she’s entertaining and not a bad chef

I get bored in s8 once Raj leaves

I honestly thought she was an amazing addition to the season

Agree. Sabrina is genuinely one of the funniest contestants of all time and my favorite chef in Season 8 outside of Raj.

She said she would come back if they made another all star season. She was asked to join season 17, but had a prior commitment.

I loved her on and off the show she's Iconic her and Boris AND Gail were my favorites that season and I love her plant-based healthy lifestyle pathway she's on, I noticed the day before yesterday she's unprivateized her videos on her YouTube channel, ALL her videos were gone but now she's kept a few of them and put them on public:

Cook with me Sabrina B - YouTube

She grew after the series. Said that she saw how she came across to people and changed. And I think she did try to change on the show but she wasn’t given much of a chance to

I think Sabrina is overhated. She could be obnoxious, but she grew a lot in the competition and told the truth about Emily, Melissa, et al. No matter what anyone says, she deserved the black jacket over Vinny.

You and I have the same mindset, I like characters in any media that are hated by everyone else because they add so much to their season or the entire show, Sabrina stands out so much on this season, only being passed by Raj

u/CastleBravoLi7 Apr 30 '25

I would not want to work with her but she was right about Emily and Melissa. She also correctly predicted that Vinny was not going to win (at a point in the season that was near Vinny’s peak, not when he was spiraling later)

Personally she is more funny than the other contestants

She's also . . fair too! . .. besides trying to throw Nona under the bus for snoring . . she did nominate other chefs like Emily and Melissa for the right reasons!

I don't hate her either, she wasn't completely wrong in her assessments. It's just the way she says things with such aggression but she's still funny though.

2

u/onyxi28 May 01 '25

Same here. This latest YouTube rewatch of Season 8 has me feeling a lot more sympathetic towards her. And she's genuinely a decent chef and entertaining character.

I’m crazy for saying this but I vowed I would- I’m attracted to Sabrina. She’s nuts and I like it.

My thoughts on her was that she was selfish and immature, and certainly NOT a team player, but had a lot of raw talent, was an undeniably great cook, and despite causing a lot of drama I still somewhat liked her in spite of her flaws. She was, in my opinion, much more likeable than for example, Russell, or even Trev (who seemed like a good guy at first, but became insufferably arrogant by the end of the season.)

We don’t disagree at all! She definitely made some huge mistakes that cost her points among her team and the shows fans. Her immaturity was on full display, and at 22, I get it. My point is that when I sit back and just accept those things, she is very funny and I like her! Trev, on my honest opinion, comes across as somebody who only appears to be good in the beginning because he has the appearance and demeanor of somebody who was bullied in the past and deserves sympathy. Then you see the way he talks about people he thinks are beneath him, like Raj and the women, and you realize he’s not somebody who wanted to be equal, he’s somebody who wanted to get even.

Shes my favorite contestant

2

u/DingusScrimm Apr 30 '25

Sabrina was unlikeable so Nona would seem more likeable, otherwise I think Nona wasn't that great of a chef.

2

u/Holytorment Apr 30 '25

The way she wore her glasses was reason enough to hate.

1

u/InternationalCase700 Apr 30 '25

It's baffling she made it to black jacket

1

u/Intelligent_End1516 Apr 30 '25

Didn't she do the I don't think so finger wag?

1

u/Possible_Mammoth4273 May 01 '25

The first Hell’s Kitchen’s youngest female black jacket

1

u/DanceMailmanDance May 01 '25

If there was an All Stars 2, I’d want her to be on it

1

u/Impossible-Lemon-105 May 03 '25

I had such disdain for her in the beginning, and then i didn’t care about her in the middle of the season, and then i got ecstatic over her elimination. I do think she’s more tolerable than Russel however.

1

u/Living_Trick3507 I HAVE CHARISMA Apr 30 '25

sabrina still deserved to get the black jacket over nona/russell tbh. i'd love to see her and jillian at the finale if that were a possibility

1

u/Richard_AIGuy Apr 30 '25

It's why I prefer the later seasons. Less of this shit more competency.

2

u/onyxi28 May 01 '25

On the contrary, it's why I've completely lost interest in the show. The drama from characters like this is what made the early seasons so entertaining.

2

u/Richard_AIGuy May 01 '25

It's just a different perspective. On YouTube rewatch I would fast forward through the drama to get to the cooking. Of course, some of Gordon's comments are super entertaining.

And the modern chefs would crush most chefs in those early seasons. The skill level isn't comparable.

2

u/onyxi28 May 01 '25

Oh 100% agreed - the skill level now is way higher. But that takes away from the fun imo

2

u/BestWithSnacks May 03 '25

I watch the early seasons for drama and chaos. I watch the later seasons to watch the best chefs compete against each other. I personally prefer the later seasons due to the priority of talent over drama.
