Previously, on Hell’s Kitchen…
23 chefs who each placed 12th in their respective seasons all competed for the ultimate redemption prize, and after a roller coaster season, Colleen did not win, but in everyone’s hearts, she did.
Now, it is time for Gordon Ramsay to invite back another group of chefs, those unlucky enough to place thirteenth in their original seasons, but for one of these selected few, their second chance will bring them an incredible reward…
Day 1
Twenty chefs entered Hell’s Kitchen, and as they began to talk amongst themselves, they quickly realized that the one thing they all had in common was that they had all placed 13th in their respective seasons. Raj in particular was excited to be back, as he was already showing off his karate skills to his fellow chefs, and declaring in his confessional that he had the eye of the tiger in this season and would be unstoppable. Meanwhile, Jason managed to piss all of the women off instantly when he announced that he hoped they were all good at laundry, because that wasn’t really a “man” thing, making Magali question in her confessional why he was even brought back. Elsewhere, Katie blurted out that she recognized Alyssa, and she was the person who that other guy on her season left his wife and kid for, creating an awkward silence amongst everyone that was thankfully broken by Ramsay showing up and introducing himself to the chefs.
Ramsay announced that this season, the 13th placers would be competing for a $500,000 grand prize and a head chef position at one of his flagship restaurants. Then, since there were 10 men and 10 women, he revealed that the teams were going to be split into equally gendered teams which had already been decided before they arrived. He then placed Seth, Jamie B., Jared, Gina M., Alan, Bev, Chris, Alyssa, Payton and Magali on the blue team, and Lovely, Jason U., Jacqueline, Raj, Katie, Guy, Aziza, Brendan P., Raneisha, and Peter on the red team. Without further ado, Ramsay told the chefs to hurry up and make him their signature dishes…
Greetings fellow HK fans, long time no see. I have been very busy lately with classes unfortunately, which has taken away from my ability to post as much as I would like, but I figure it’s been long enough, and with a new season on the horizon, it’s time to continue the series that began so long ago that we once had to debate whether to let Sammi and Carmen compete. And so. welcome back everyone to the 13th place season. Only time will tell what the future holds, but for now, I want to get to a few major changes in this season:
First, this is obviously not my usual posting schedule, as I like to post in the mornings usually, however, that is going to be a lot more difficult going forward, so from now on, I will probably post at some time in the afternoon or evening.
Second, due to there only being 20 chefs, there will be no more double eliminations aside from the F4, unless specifically voted for. If this happens, I will choose a random day when Ramsay decides not to eliminate anyone to make up for it.
Finally, I have decided to change the deadline for voting. From now on, I will count the final vote tally at midnight. Votes after that point won’t be counted. Hopefully this will leave us with a better picture of how the day’s voting went, without those mysterious overnight surges that always seem to happen, but if there are issues, we can always switch back.
And that’s all from me for now. You guys know the rest. Vote for your least favorite 13th placer; the chef who gets the most votes gets the boot, though I can already guess who’ll be the first to hit the bricks…
