My 10-year-old grew ghost peppers and now they’re finally ripening. He’s so excited to try one 😬 but I don’t think he really gets just how insanely hot they are.

Anyone have a recipe (salsa, chili, hot sauce, etc) that uses just a tiny bit so he can say he tried it without destroying himself?

They were supposed to be poblanos but I do not think they look like poblanos. Google says everything from lemon drops to Anaheim peppers. What do you guys think?

Hey guys, new to pepper growing here. These are supposedly Anaheim but pack way more heat than the Jalapeños in my garden. Are they stunted Anaheims or something else?

I didn’t order from Pepper Joe’s but this seedling was sold to me as Habanero Red Savina. Is this a Jamaican red mushroom pepper?

My mystery pepper plant has ripened to yellow. Any guesses? I tried an unripened one and it packed a decent punch (a bit hotter than a Serrano by my estimation)

Yellow reapers from “White Hot Peppers”

My sister brought me “Carolina reaper” seedlings from North Carolina a couple years back. They definitely didn’t end up being reapers—apparently someone just told her that they were—but I’ve continued to grow them every year because they are spicy and delicious. The peppers turn yellow-orange once ripe, and the flavor reminds me more of scotch bonnets than habaneros. Anyone know what they could be?

I have this extra branch not growing any peppers on it. Is it worth it to snip the branch off? Should I have done this earlier? Or should it just be left alone entirely?

65 from my first pull. Two Habanero plants. Should be able to run my peppers through October in 7b New Jersey. All my plants look great. (Not usual at this point in the season for me!)

Plenty of other peppers but habaneros are the drama queens who demand photo time.

These things are so ornamental! A joy to look at. Will definitely be converting one to a Bonchi!
