Hello I was Looking to round out the lighting on my back wall and was hoping for some recommendations which one would be the best for the money. Signe gradient floor lamps? Play light bars? Play wall washers?
Thanks in advance đ

Trying to find something for my 16" laptop-only set up. I'm looking for ideally just a single product that will give me a synced multi-zone gradient while gaming or watching movies. I can get two products if I must.
The Play Light Strips for PC seem to give the best edge-to-edge gradients, but I can't mount it on my laptop and it's too long anyway.
Thinking either a single Wall Washer or Signe Table Lamp is the perfect size for me. I'd place it behind my laptop, but tbh overwhelmed at the options. The Signe Table Lamp is cheaper but worried the lights might be too vertical.
Any suggestions please?

So I have an odd one, for some reason White is the only colour not registering on my Lightstrip whenever I select a Scene that includes white light. All other colours function except for white. The lightstrip will turn white for a moment, then change again back to yellow. If anyone has experienced this or know the fix let me know! I have tried:
removing the light strip from my hue app and re-adding,
disconnecting the power and reconnecting.
removing and reconnecting the connector cable and power
checking for any loose connecting points between the extension and the base strip

I have a lot of Hue lights and smart plugs and never used 'third party' stuff because those accessories aren't exposed to Apple Homekit without a workaround. Since the introduction of Matter also third party stuff is exposed to Homekit and I just installed 2 MiBoxer led controllers for a part of my garden lightning.
It was a struggle to pair them to the Hue bridge. The MiBoxer controllers are built in a wooden enclosure in my garden, only a few meters away form the nearest Hue (GU10 lights. I always thought that each Hue light acts as a Zigbee repeater on its own, but I couldn't pair the MiBoxer controllers.
Only when I brought the Hue Bridge closer by with a long network cable I was able to pair the MiBoxer controllers with the bridge. Now the bridge is back at its original place, I again lost contact with the MiBoxer controllers and 'no reaction' is shown in Apple Home.
Obviously the GU10 leds don't act a range extender for Zigbee, may they only repeat the signal for other Hue lights, but definitely not for third party Zigbee devices... đ
Since I can't move my Hue Bridge closer to these controllers, what can I do with range extenders or Zigbee repeaters?? Anyone has experience with this? I see a lot of stuff I could easily hide somewhere in the middle of the controllers and the Hue bridge, but I don't know if it will work in my case! Any help is appreciated!!

Hi all,
I recently found my first Gen Hue light bulb but I'm trying to factory reset so I can connect via zigbee. I'm unable to find the bridge, so what are my options? If I bought a used V1 bridge could I reset the lightbulbs that way?
I've tried numerous times to flick the light switch on and off which failed. I tried to reset via touch Link and that didn't work. Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to connect my AirPods to my Apple TV and still get hue sync to work for my lights? I like to workout with my Airpods but want my lights to sync to whatâs playing on the Apple TV.
3d printed mount for it. Driver is in the fan canopy.

The existing Philips Hue bridge is a core part of any Hue setup. The bridge connects to your network and communicates with each product, and is part of the reason Hue tends to be more stable than hub-less smart home offerings. But the hardware hasnât been updated in a while, and a common complaint is that it can only support 50 devices at a time. The new Philips Hue âBridge Proâ appears to be addressing that, while also adding new features. Spotted on a since-removed web page by HueBlog, the âBridge Proâ is described as the companyâs âmost advanced smart home hub.â Itâs apparently faster and supports âmore capacity,â though a specific number isnât mentioned.

I have updated my phone to the latest iOS. I have the latest sync app and hue app on my phone. But the shortcuts all changed.
If I have a shortcut for my syncbox to change HDMI channel and/or start or stop syncing. It gives me a internal error. If I look at the shortcut the hue syncbox is also grayed out in the shortcut like it isnât selected. If I select it. I get a whole different option on my Apple device which I donât understand.
Did they change this? Why are all my shortcuts that involve the sync box not working anymore?

Iâve been wanting Hue lights for a couple years but itâs just so overwhelming deciding when there are so many options on the market and Hue is more expensive(but i assume better than other brands?). Can someone pls tell me anything I should know before I bite the bullet?? Just in case someone wants to help, iâll include what I am looking for below/my dislikes. I understand itâs a big ask lmao. But I appreciate any advise if anyone can give it!!
-I HATE overhead lighting and I hate bright white LEDs. Oh I also hate any lighting where I can see the actual bulb(which seems to be âinâ right now).
-Lightbulbs/lighting affects me a lot, whether it be them giving me migraines or lighting in general affecting my mood and behavior. (Iâve been sort of living in darkness with one lamp in the corner of a room, which helps with migraines but leaves me having no motivation). Meaning I rly want intentional lighting(if i was rich i fr would hire an interior lighting expert)
-i live in an apartment so I canât do any wiring in the wall
-i like the idea of plug-in sconces or those lights you put on the ground where the light kind of shoots up
-i prefer to have something smart (like Hue) but i also want the option to not have to use my phone as the remote(trying to work on phone addiction lol)
-i have a (possibly irrational) fear of knock-off/cheap smart bulbs causing fires, which is why I like the idea of getting Hue since itâs from a well-known, somewhat-reputable company (i say âsomewhat-reputableâ because how reputable can a company even be these days lol)
Overall Iâm almost positive Hue would give me what Iâm looking for but itâs all so confusing to me, even after reading about all their products
I can't figure out what's causing this. I set my lights inside my house to Concentrate 100% brightness but when I leave home and come back the lights turn on to Warm 70% brightness. I've set their settings to "Last on" and I've reset my hub. Nothing seems to work.
I have lights outside set to Concentrate and 100% brightness and they turn on every night at sunset with no issues. I'm not sure what's wrong with my inside lights.
Any suggestions would be great, it's super annoying.
The glue mounts that you put on the back of your TV which hold the HUE lightstrip keep falling off. Is there a way to make them more stable? I'm getting really frustrated...

Just set up the Play Gradient on my LG G5 65". I really want something to fill the bottom out. Should I get two Play bars or the large tube?

Hello, I want to add this to my LG 39" monitor, which is very curved on top of this : R800 ! Would a strip made for a 34" work well ? Any experience / photo available?

I have two Philips Hue light strips, one on my living room tv, and I just got another one for my office tv. I can't seem to figure out on the Hue app how to adjust the lights as individual lights - every time I adjust a color/brightness/etc., it automatically adjusts both lights. I saw online that you have to create different "entertainment areas" on the app, but I don't have the setting to create entertainment areas.
How do I adjust the light strips individually?

Anyone found a fix yet for TRADFRI GU10 loosing connection with the hue bridge after a day or so?
Only âfixâ I found so far is changing the Bridge zigbee channel. This makes the TRADFRI lamps responsive again but only for a day or two.
Itâs annoying as hell, the old gu10 work like a charm but the new ones have issues.

This weekend I will be working on a Bridge backup and migration tool (just in case Philips doesnât include one with their new Pro bridge)
What features would you want to see in something like that?

Title says it all. The Sync App is finally available for the G5, in the UK at least.

Found a working hue sync bridge online for 50 dollars. Iâm guessing thatâs a good deal but wanted to check. They said they just upgraded to the new version with 120hz. I only need 60hz really since Iâm only using an Apple TV and Switch 2.
Gonna pair it with the 65â Play Lightstrip on Amazon.

Hi everyone,
I have a Philips 55OLED808/12 TV with TPM231WW firmware. The TV does not react to the remote, only shows a slowly blinking power LED.
I tried updating with the normal firmware packages (.pkg
and .upg
), but they donât work in recovery mode. The TV only accepts upgrade loader files (autorun.upg
from _upgrade_loader.zip
).
Unfortunately, I canât find a working link for: TPM231WW_R.201.100.107.002_upgrade_loader.zip
On Toengelâs Philips blog and Philips support, the link seems to be down.
Does anyone here have a copy of the correct _upgrade_loader.zip
for TPM231WW (201.100.107.002), or know if another loader version (e.g. 237.237 or 086.203) will work for recovery on the 808 series?
Thanks a lot in advance â my TV is completely unusable right now without this file.
Regards, SN
I have a hue hub.
Recently bought some Ikea TRADFRI bulbs E27 WS globe 1055l.
The Ikea bulbs are connected to the hue hub.
Ikea bulbs are on version 3.0.23.
Hue hub is on version 1.72.1972076030
Very frequently, the bulbs become unresponsive somewhere during the night.
They will not listen to any commands given through hue, google home or home assistant.
They are turned off and will not turn on, even though the controls in the above mentioned apps show the bulbs as being on and responsive.
The only way to get them responsive again is to power cycle them or in the hue app via settings, tap the unresponsive bulb.
With some testing I figured out I can easily make them unresponsive.
By using any of the above mentioned apps, while the bulb is on: turn off the bulb and while the bulb is being dimmed, turn it on again.
And poof, the bulb is off and unresponsive.
Incredibly annoying.
Does anyone know of a fix?
Â
Edit: I contacted Ikea and their response was basically "tradfri and hue is technically compatible, but not officially supported by Ikea or Philips." Even though on the Ikea website it says that the bulbs should work with Hue.
Their suggestions were to either;
So it doesn't seem to be a solvable problem. I decided to add the bulbs to home assistant using zigbee2mqtt. So far they haven't become unresponsive even when trying to force the unresponsive state. But this does mean losing the convenience of control using the hue app and voice control.
