I've always wondered how do people get in a position to take a photograph like this?
I mean look at this, this is the coolest thing I've seen today, it looks almost like it's out of the film or a video game. Especially in a situation like this, when everyone, especially cops are extremely aware and cautious, and there's fires burning and people shouting, and you come like a biggest badass to take the most epic picture in a most epic moment.
lots of journalists lots of protestors and policemen a more than a hundred photos taken per journalists and you get one or two epic shots like those. The key is in the large amount of people attending these events
It's a single protester, so even as bad as cops are, they aren't gonna charge and subdue a lone guy with nothing but a suit, slick, gelled hair and some glasses.
(I'm not mocking you, it's just that our riot police has been seen gassing old people, taking people out of wheelchairs, shooting flashballs litteraly an armlength away in the face of people ... So yes, they definetely would.)
