Truck seems okay to me. I've done that a couple of times. Everyone has jumped a curb or two.

you just watched a video of a man cut through 8 lanes of moving traffic, hop a median (much higher than a normal curb) cut off a dump truck, and then speed off erratically

and your response was "ehh we've all done it a few times right"

...... no, no we have not

We're talking about the truck. The OP Claimed that he'd damaged it. What he did to the truck was the equivalent of jumping a curb or running over some debris in the road (sometimes it's unavoidable.) We've all done that and most of our vehicles are still running just fine. Can something dramatically bad happen? Yes. Does it most of the time? No. In this case, the truck looks undamaged.

first like i said thats a median, not a curb height

and because of that he scraps the undercarriage of the truck and clearly lifts the back tires

it might look "fine" but that how long terms problems occur when you mistreat your vehicle

you are probably the type to notice your vehicle over time pulling to the left or right and think "oh thats just what happens" , no its cause doing shit like this misaligns the axle among others things

thats not even mentioning the multiple lives they risked by doing an insane maneuver like that

We're not talking about the driver being an idiot, that much was obvious. It's just a question of whether there was significant damage to the truck. I've been driving for a really, damn long time and I've seen a lot of everything. I can generally 'feel' when there is something wrong with my vehicle and am extremely dutiful about maintenance. I've had to replace axles, ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks, etc. That is normal wear and tear with country roads.

yes, and there certainly was damage

if you don't believe me, show this exact video to your mechanic next time you go and ask if thats ok to do

better go on r/AskMechanics right now and ask if that is likely to cause any lasting damage to the truck
