Music IIL Modelizer by The Dare, What Tracks/Mixes WIL?

Okay, this track has been stuck in my head all week. I love it. I can't get enough of it, and because of that, I want more of it.

Modelizer by the Dare

I love the optimistic, happy tone it has. If anyone knows of any great tracks or even better, DJ sets along these lines, can you please share?

I know it's super specific but I'm having a bit of trouble finding music with that exact vibe. Like fantasy, upbeat tech waltz

Music [IIL] Dreamy atmospheric songs that make you feel warm inside

I recently put the following songs together in a playlist: * I remember - deadmau5 * Space song - beach house * Undisclosed desires - muse * Welcome to the DCC - nothing but thieves * Crystalised - the xx * Enjoy the silence - depeche mode * Non believer - london grammar * Wicked game - chris isaak * Nightcall - kavinsky

All of these give me a warm/happy dreamy chill feeling, but not sleepy. Do you know more songs like this to fill my playlist?

Music [iil] Why I Like the Robins and other shoegazy, midwest emo/math rock, alt rock

I’m a big fan of this seemingly small subgenre from the 90s that incorporates both twinkly guitars and immersive shoegaze distortion as done in “why i like the robins” by Hum. Another example might be 1979 by The Smashing Pumpkins and some of Sunny Day Real Estate. If any of you have any similar suggestions I would love and treasure you forever.

YouTube/Streaming IYL Questlove's Vibes as a solo artist or with The Roots, you might dig The Water by The Irregular Decagon

The depth and vibe of the song 'The Water' is similar to Questlove's vibes as both a solo artist & with his work with The Roots.

The song 'The Water' has similar elements to the music, and shares a depth in instrumentation and flow.

The song I'm referencing (The Water) can be viewed on YouTube at - https://youtu.be/E1jAkO9FozY?feature=shared

I'm looking for artistic films or shows along the line of Scavengers Reign, Pantheon, Children of Men, Inside Llewyn Davis, Sunshine, etc. Pieces with humanistic themes. Preferably something not mainstream.

Music [IIL] Song like “Turn Off The Light” by Nelly Furtado

I’m trying to find some pop songs like the one in the title. I can’t really explain what I like about it, but I think it’s the little details and the way the rhythm is sung. It’s like you HAVE to dance to the song.

I already have a few other songs that give me the same vibe (just to give you some context):

Summerboy - Lady Gaga Fancy Footwork - Chromeo Smile - Lily Allen DARE - Gorillaz I’m a Lady - Santigold

Music [IIL] Emo/Punk songs with screaming vocals and depressing/sad lyrics?

Thinking of stuff like

  • I'm still cheering for the 1980's US Hockey Team by Oakwood
  • No way... by February
  • King Park by La Dispute (Especially this one since the guy sounds on the verge of crying the entire time, it's even hard to listen at times. Also the lyrics, especially the end)

Also fine with tamer stuff, like Hazel by Far Apart

Music [IIL] the band Linea Aspera, WEWIL?

I love the melancholic, slightly dreamy yet catchy/dancy vibe of their music. I'm interested in other electronic adjacent bands that sound like them. (Gender of the vocalist does not matter.)

Examples of songs that sound like what I'm looking for: https://youtu.be/b_dVbrCxn5U?si=FNUIFUCGDGLZom1C

Music [IIL] Music like Yandere’s [WEWIL]

I don’t really know anyone like them besides maybe Lilac. I know there’s a wave of music genre out there with anime vibes being called “break core” but that is not so similar to what Yandere makes. Here are some examples:

elegance+++lilac

between us

ascension

blue eyes

Here’s one by Lilac (and maknae) that’s similar called rain

And then another by just maknae: 555

Music [IIL] When Did You Get Hot? by Sabrina Carpenter, WEWIL?

I love EVERYTHING, about this song - the initial beat coming in, the wobble/warp to the backing track, the lightning hit of a chorus, the "double take, triple take" cadence, Everything about it is perfect.

What genre is this and what are some songs that scratch the same itch? It's flawless!

YouTube/Streaming IIL non-aesthetic slice of life YouTube videos

Just people living their lives, not these videos where everything is curated and they want you to see how aesthetically pleasing their meals and outfits are, just actual life

And please not someone just sitting in front of the camera telling us what they did that day - I want to see people living their lives and going out and about doing stuff and seeing what happens

Bald and Bankrupt maybe a good example, but doesn’t have to be a travel vlog

Preferably multiple people in it or someone filming other people to show a glimpse into their lives, rather than someone just filming themselves the whole time

Music [IIL] Albums like Emotion by Samantha Sang, Charm by Clairo, anything 70s soul-inspired?

I'm really into a specific style of music, very 70s jazz/soul/easy listening music with feminine English vocals (I don't tend to listen to male artists). Some specific examples of this are:

- Emotion (album) by Samantha Sang (I've also enjoyed Samantha Sangs other two albums, but they are not available on streaming unfortunately)

- "(You and Me Still Keep On) Fall In Love" by Mai Yamane

- "Starry-Eyed" by Nichelle Nichols

- "Rain" by SWV

More modern examples:

- Charm (album) by Clairo

- Earthstar Mountain (album) by Hannah Cohen

- "Don't Smile", "Sugar Talking", and "Never Getting Laid" by Sabrina Carpenter

- "Keep Away" and "Kollage" by Carly Rae Jepsen

Anything that fits this sort of style, whether it was made 5 or 50 years ago, I'd love to listen!

Games [IIL] Games That Play Like Yume Nikki

Basically, the complete opposite of a Naughty Dog game post Jak X. That's exactly what Yume Nikki is.

I don't want a list of just "walking sims" though you can suggest one if it fits my criteria well. I'm looking for a hands off, non linear kind of game with either no plot or one that is told via world building, Is subtle and doesn't get in your way and lastly a NON PROCEDURALY GENERATED explore-able interesting world with things to actually find in it. doesn't have to be a fully open world game but it would be preferred.

here are some games I consider to meet my criteria, i'am already aware of and or am not interested in.

  • Yume Nikki fan games (please don't suggest any)
  • Journey (Looks boring to me, also a little pretentious)
  • Other RPG maker horror games
  • PS1 Tomb Raider
  • LSD dream emulator (I don't like the randomness of it)
  • NES Legend of Zelda

Music [IIL] Albums/Artists like STOMACH BOOK, what else will I like?

Specifically her new album GOODNIGHT HYPNOPOMP. I've tried listening to Femtanyl, but they don't quite hit the same lyrically, and are also a bit too chaotic musically. Thanks in advance <3

Music [iil] Epic music like that one from Horizon Zero Dawn

I'm in fond of this (too short) music from Horizon Zero Dawn OST - Beads Fallen On Bronze: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=XJOE1UxioVg&list=PLVp84QtVnmRMOi3kQ94KUeZdi8KveV-P8

Do you know other musics in the same style of epicness?
