IJW: Paul [2011]
So the alien movie Paul from 2011 I really enjoyed the first time. It had been a while since I’ve seen it so I decided to rewatch it since it was leaving Netflix. It’s not as good the second time.
I thought Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were good in their roles, but they didn’t really do anything to stand out and I didn’t laugh as much as I did the first time. It’s not a bad movie but now it’s just more average than good.

Honestly, I liked it, but you are right, it's was just an average movie. I love Simon and Nick, but without Edgar Wright they just don't pop in the same way.
But I only watched it once, and I don't really think I'll be watching it again. Fun enough, but in retrospect, the amount of swearing was excessive. They cussed like teenagers who are just trying out swear words for the first time. If every sentence contains a 'fuck' or 'shit' it just sounds childish. (maybe that's the point, they are childish characters, but it didn't add anything to the movie)
