Original song from my caravan studio: Flow đ
Hi folks,
This is my new release Flow. Itâs indie folk with acoustic guitar, a bit of drive, and some 12-string energy.
The whole thing was recorded live in my converted caravan studio here in the French countryside â itâs become my creative sanctuary.
If youâve got a few minutes, Iâd love for you to give it a listen and let me know how it resonates
Always happy to check out what others here are making too

My friend Hudson Freeman has been blowing up lately, so I wanted to reshare one of my favorite moments in my music career, when we duetted his song "Warm Me, Winter." Still one of my favorite memories.

[Original] Athair â Celtic instrumental gradually intensifying with folk fantasy vibes
Hey!
Iâd love to share Athair, my Celtic instrumental that starts softly and builds into something powerful. It blends folk textures with a fantasy vibe, perfect for anyone who loves atmospheric instrumentals.
Please let me know what emotions or images it brings up for you. âď¸

SILVER DAGGER - Original Adaptation of the 200 year old folk song by Frederick Chipkin
I'm very excited to upload my version of the song "Silver Dagger" A 200 year old folk song made famous by Joan Baez. I always thought that it was a terribly beautiful & sad song & wanted to write a version of it from the jilted lovers point of view. I usually just have fun posting my music on Facebook & whoever cares to listen, listens...But this time (if you get the inkling) please give a listen & give me a comment on YouTube. If you click on the image it will take you to the youtube link...& Thank you (and appreciated)! https://youtu.be/KuibOo78PBc

A playlist for Indie Folk fans who want to discover new artists!
Hello Indie Folk music lovers! Iâve been curating an Indie Folk playlist for a while that I would like to share with you. The playlist is all about new music and upcoming Folk artists.
I started the playlist out of frustration with the Spotify algorithm, which kept serving me more of the same. Furthermore, many popular Folk-inspired playlists are (partially) owned by major labels who only include their own artists, which drastically limits the selection.
For my Indie Folk Boutique playlist the selections are based on love for the music, not contractual obligations or marketing purposes. I scour the internet for hours every week to find new releases and hidden gems. No algorithms, just pure handpicked discovery. Youâd be surprised how much good music you can find off the radar!
I also include household Indie Folk artists like Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, The Lumineers and the Paper Kites, but first and foremost the playlist is meant as a platform to discover new and lesser-known artists.
You can find the playlist here:
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4Cwvhff570yGShclzqQVe5?si=79264fb5d06748c8
I hope you enjoy the playlist and may you discover some good new music in there!

A coastal folk track about trusting the unknown.
When fear leads, the unknown is branded as bad â only monsters come out of the darkness, right? But a drive down a long dirt road in the far south of NSW taught me a life-changing lesson.
I was heading home to Sydney with a good friend after a gig. We stopped over at a little town called Tilba Tilba â old world charm, quirky cafĂŠs and stores. By mistake, we took a wrong turn that put us on a dirt road back to the freeway for over an hour. The van went silent as tiredness set in. Thoughts about my future started to plague me. I was driving home to a house that no longer felt like home. My stomach sank as I realised life was about to change in a big way. Big changes, no clear picture, and no guarantee Iâd be okay.
For the first time in a while, I couldnât see two steps ahead. It was fog. Any time my mind tried to âwork it outâ or play out scenarios, it turned black. Anxiety rose as the stories of doom circled â until I busted the cycle: âThey are just stories. The only sure thing is happening right now.â Recognising my mind had been corrupted by the unknown, I gave myself love and came back to the present. And what a moment it was.
That dirt road was like a warm hug â the window open, the breeze, rolling green hills, bushland. The lack of familiarity drew my attention deeper into the moment. I detached from the âthinking mindâ and connected to my senses, thanks to the land around me.
We turned a corner and stopped to question if we were going the right way. It was met with an overwhelming feeling: âKeep going, youâll work it out. Itâll be okay. It IS okay. Trust.â My gut knew those messages werenât just about the road. They were about the uncertainty I faced back home.
For the rest of the three-hour drive, I felt blissed out in reassurance â as if hugged by someone who knew better. I saw how much of my safety had been tied to needing evidence. Thatâs the âthinking mind.â But the drive showed me that the heart moves on a different plane. It taught me to have more faith in the unknown.
Now, whenever I catch myself trying to âwork it outâ prematurely or manhandle the future in an attempt to feel safe, I just say to myself, âTilba.â Straight away, I snap back into that mind state of trust and collaboration with life.
I also put it into a song. If youâre interested, itâs called âTilbaâ â a reminder to have more faith in the unknown despite what fear says.

Much love,
Nathan
