Online Shopping Shipping from Japan to US suspended by Japan Post
https://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/information/2025/0825_01_en.htmlHey everyone,
We just wanted to let you know that we have completely stopped accepting orders from the US, as there is no way for us to ship them due to the new rules of the Trump administration. Japan Post has completely stopped accepting shipments, you can check yourself in the link I provided.
It is really unfortunate it came to this. We will accept orders again once the situation has changed, but so far, nobody knows when that will be.

I understand trying to address some of the de minimis loophole, but itās insane to ban it entirely. So stupid
Edit No one here knows what the de minimis exception is do they lmao

The way certain Chinese e-commerce companies are abusing the exemption makes it clear that some new rules for de minimis are needed. But of course, this administration isn't interested in doing the hard work of creating a fair system for small businesses and consumers, just making sure they look "strong" in conservative media.

Ah yes the abusive act of checks notes selling cheap goods to American customers
How dare they!

When you sell hundreds of millions of dollars worth without paying a single duty? The de minimis should be for small businesses, not giant multinationals.

How many times do we have to repeat this:
Who pays the tariffs?
(Hint: itās not the seller in China)

When Amazon and WalMart import the same crappy merch, they have to pay duties on them and can't compete with Temu's garbage without the duties. How is that fair?
De minimis needs to benefit small businesses, not multinationals.

This is the weirdest point or example you are using here. But letās use it for a moment:
If Amazon pays duties and Temu does not, then very likely the prices on Amazon and Temu are not the same (assuming same item).
Who pays that price difference?
You, the customer.

To the advantage of Temu. While I'm no fan of the stupidity of the current administration's tariffs, I'm also not a fan of creating a tariff situation that foreign companies can manipulate to their benefit at the expense of domestic businesses. The point is NOT about who pays these stupid taxes, the point is that the payment of those taxes shouldn't harm domestic businesses. If we return to the tariff rates ante Orange Stupidity, that de minimis exception still hurts domestic businesses.

āHurts domestic businessā in the same way as the stupid orange tariffs would benefit them. You are simply defending tariffs.
