After realizing I am borderline becoming addicted to MSG and seeing the sodium count in my favorite ramen, I am going down the path of these ramen seasonings. The only one I have found so far is the HOXY chicken flavor and I have to say it is pretty good. Not spicy AT ALL, but I have always liked to use my own hot sauces and seasonings to get the level of spice that I like anyway.
Additionally I have a TON of packs of flavors that I bought to try and didn't like so it gives me a great way to use the noodles and not waste them.
HOXY is good, but not amazing. I am fine with it as it is 100mg sodium per serving compared to over 2000mg in some cases.
I may end up being the guinea pig and just buying as many as I can find on amazon and I will report back, but it would be great to hear anyone's experiences too with these products and what is good and what is not, and why. So if you have tried any, let me know your experience and the level of spicy, also would be good to know your current favorite flavors of traditional ramen to base the tastes off. Thanks!
Bonus if you have opinions on the ramen toppings/dried vegetable packs as well I am curious which ones are good also.
