Kaitrin Snodgrass is a storyboard revisionist on the show, and she was recently asked if specifically if this mark was gay and gave confirmation.

Personally I've feel it makes logical sense that in the infinite multiverse that there are versiond of you that have different sexualities and backgrounds, and it gives us much more depth to each variant aside " he's mark but evil". Remember as always guys this is for fun discussion and nothing else.

My headcanon: Mark and William were a couple. Mark was heroic. William was killed by a hate crime, Mark lost his shit, decided to go apeshit om humanity and took Angstrom offer to see William again out of desperation and grief.

boooo, no hate crime stories. doesn't seem like invincible's (the show/comic's) thing and there are so many stories you can tell with queer people that don't have to involve them being hate crimed.
