I personally disagree, I like the show more

Thanks. I stuck with anime only for Attack on Titan and I’m glad I did. I can do the same for Invincible if the show is better.

You can only experience the story for the first time once.

I say stick with the show. I love reading show only perspectives 😁

AOT was by far the most difficult story I've ever had to resist reading ahead on. I managed to avoid any major spoilers, and the wait was beyond worth it, so Invincible gets the same treatment.

Good to know there's others like me out there. I salute you, brother / sister.

I only had one issue with AoT anime's first episode. Specific scene isn't included.

u/Rickiar Mar 13 '25

What scene are you talking about? I only watched the anime

Read first manga chapter.

u/effinblinding Mar 13 '25

Yeah learning about that was a shame

Which scene?

Read the very first chapter of manga

Same! Wasn't that a bastard as they kept stretching out season 4? The Final Season for like four years.

I honestly tried reading Invincible after season 1. I bounced off before the Omni-Man kills the Guardians. I'll let the show do what it's doing and eventually I'll get around to the comic. Maybe. It's fine.

Why the hell are you in here telling us anything about what’s in store, you’re setting emotional expectations by saying that please stop and let us experience things as it happens.

Hard disagree, show has done a better job in most areas imo.

I mean just look at this episode dude, comics it was awesome here it was peak media

u/asscop99 Mar 13 '25

This was peak? I thought it was really good, but peak? I’m still going comic. Art style is more interesting, the world is fuller. Now the show is more streamlined and moves at a better pace since they cut the fat but other than that the comic is ahead.

u/booboorogers44 Mar 13 '25

No shit the art style is more interesting, you’re comparing static images against 40 minute animated episodes.

In no world are they gonna look similar in terms of detail

Demon slayer anime definitely looks better than the manga. Even the colored one

-1

u/asscop99 Mar 13 '25

Yeah, I know.It doesn’t need to be a fair fight. Why would it? Like who cares if the comics naturally have an edge. What’s even your point?

9

u/connornation Mar 13 '25

Eh I wouldn’t say a 100 times better. Maybe a little better but both are fantastic works of art

14

u/arthurmorganinvegas Mar 13 '25

not at all, the show is significantly better comparing what is adapted as of now. its not even really close, and this is coming from someone who read the comic quite a bit before the show released

u/asscop99 Mar 13 '25

I’m also a reader and I disagree. The art alone puts it over the top.

1

u/Djdhdhudjdjd Comic Fan Mar 16 '25

Art isn’t the only category. Character writing is better in the show, and the side cast is more fleshed out.

1

u/asscop99 Mar 17 '25

I say the same exact thing in another comment. Yeah, the story is more streamlined and the characters have more depth so that’s a plus. The show has its advantages but I’d still go comic if I had to choose between the two.

big disagree
