Nah, the Deep is a way more despicable character. Cheating on someone because of a misunderstanding that you set up in your own head is in a different ballpark than committing rape.

Oh I'm not saying they're just as bad as one another, they just both fit the bill of the smarmy douche who's already on the outs. The deep also despite his other serious shortcomings has a lot more depth to his character than rex does (so far, I've only seen the first three episodes.). Deep feels like a fundamentally flawed person where as so far rex just comes across as a caricature of a stereotypical douche, small penis jokes included. Part of that though is Chase Crawford vs Jason Mantzoukas is not a battle that JM is going to win.

Don't want to give too much away, but I think you're too quick to judge as of yet.

Oh for sure, I acknowledged I've only seen the first three episodes, I'm fully expecting to get more backstory on every character, all I meant is that they at least gave the deep some positive qualities off the bat whereas rex has none so far, even though deeps positive qualities don't exactly make up for the fact that he's a rapist.

Invincible has really great pacing, but you can't expect all the plot details to be dumped into the first episodes of the seasonal arc. Great pacing means spreading things out appropriately to give breathing room before hitting them with the next twist, revelation, or character moment.
