Swimming Caps/Hats
Hello, I will be visiting the island soon and wondering if a cap/sun hat is okay in the swimming pools, or do I need a proper swimming cap?
Thanks ☺️

Hi all,
I'm arriving on Ischia tomorrow night and meeting up with a couple friends there. We want to do a boat trip sunday around Capri. My friend is thinking we get the Ferry to Capri and find a boat tour from there. I just want to check, is that what you guys recommend? Or is it better to do a tour FROM ischia and with who?

I've seen it the last days from the west coast.

Avete avuto esperienze in merito?

Me and my partner are going on our honeymoon in two weeks to ischia. I’ve got a rough idea of things we’d like to do. We aren’t laze around and chill kind of people and are young and like to explore. Wondering if anyone could help with any suggestions/tips for us. We’ll be staying in Hotel Nettuno in Forio. I’ll give a vague outline of what sort of things we’d be looking at doing: 1 - Arrive by ferry and explore Forio/nearby beaches and relax with some drinks for the first afternoon/eve 2- Rent a small 40HP boat and do our own boat trip around the island 3 - Walk/Bus to Sant Angelo and take in all the beaches and scenery and have lunch in Sant Angelo before bus back for a sunset boat trip 4 - Bus to Ischia Porto/Ponte for the castle and beaches etc in the morning and then in the evening spend it in Lacco Ameno 5 - We have a late flight so was thinking ferry to Procida for a few hours before on to Naples for our 10pm flight
Does this sound doable? Any recommendations for places to eat/drink in Forio or any of the other stops. We are more about the general vibe/views than up market places.
Any hints/tips would be amazing.
Thanks

Hi everyone. I'm heading to Ischia in early October. Im wondering how easy it is to get around without a car/scooter? I only have a provisional license so wouldn't be able to rent a scooter. Im hoping I can rent a bike and use the bus services too?

Hey all! When I was in Ischia I noticed a lot of businesses and services with the name Calise. Is there an interesting history or story about this family on the island that anyone knows? Thanks!

We will be in Ischia for 3 full days before heading to Sorrento. This is our honeymoon so we want a little more relaxed but have options of things to do!
Would love recommendations of lunch spots, shopping spots, or just beautiful walking spots close-ish to our hotel.
We are also renting a small boat to explore the island one day so if you have specific coves or places that are easier to reach by boat you think are amazing please suggest! We are not getting a tour.
Hotel: Pagoda Hotel
Sept 30
- Get in around 6pm by Ferry
- Dinner 8pm somewhere nearby?
Oct 1
- Open Day, relaxing, walk around town
- Get lunch somewhere fun?
- Dinner: Il Monastero Castle
Oct 2
- Go to Negombo Thermal Park for the day. Relax in hot springs
- Early dinner at Park or late dinner closer to hotel.
- Drinks somewhere fun?
Oct 3
- Renting Boat all day, What coves to go to? Places to stop?
- We will have an ice chest on board so places we can grab food to bring on the boat would be fantastic
- Dinner somewhere fun.
Oct 4
- Leave for Sorrento.
I have some restaurants on my list so far. Any to avoid or any that are especially stand out? I'd love to try the Rabbit dish that is Ischia's specialty!!! Please suggest others as well!
Trattoria II Focolare
Il Giardino Mediterraneo
Bagno Tre Stelle
Pazziella Beach Bar
I Ricci Officina del Gusto

Hi! We’re a group of 10 people traveling to ischia in about 2 weeks. We’d like to do some day boat trips around the island, to procida, to capri, not sure if amalfi coast would be doable as well. Do you have any great experiences to share either with boat tours or with private boat rentals? We’ll be based in Ischia Porto. Thank you!

Can anyone help us narrow down our must-do's? We are so excited about Ischia, but are having trouble determining how to spend our limited 3 days there. Our ferry arrives Thursday evening, and departs Sunday evening. We are staying in Forio near Giardini la Mortella, on the beach with a great sunset view (attached)!
Just trying to figure out how to best spend 3.25 days in heaven!!! And not feel burnt out trying to chase relaxation, ya know?
TIA!!!

Planning a trip for late October and have some questions:
1) Mini Mokes look adorable - but are they practical? I am a little worried about potential rain.
2) Our trip plans are:
If those are my three days, should I stay in Forio or the main Port City? And is there anything else I should rearrange in my schedule/or add? Its tough to squeeze everything into 3 days!
3) Any recs for a sunset boat tour? I was hoping to find a sailboat, but I am struggling.
THANK YOU!

I have an upcoming trip planned. We currently have a reservation at a beach club for the day, but have found many offerings to either rent my own dingy, rent a private boat with a skipper or join a small boat tour. My group is not at 'sitting still'. If we only have one day in Ischia, would it be best served on the water in the boat? TIA

Ciao a tutti! My family and I are travelling to Italy this year, we're excited! Something I'm unaware about though is how the queer community is received? I'm travelling with my trans sister and her trans girlfriend, and my cis sister and her wife. I mainly ask about Ischia because we plan on going to the beach, thermal baths, etc.
Are there places we should/shouldn't go to? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, or if I'm wording the question wrong. Just trying to get a feel for what we should be mindful of.

Hi I’m seeking for some advice. I am staying currently around Panza and would like to drink the Nitrodi water. It seems like there is some thermal park with showers, but entrance fee is €18 for half a day. Tbh I just want to drink the water, is there a place you can just tap the water and drink it? Or do I have to go into the park?

After enjoying much pizza and pasta, my crew is interested in something else for dinner? (We aren’t big seafood people either, the shrimps with heads was too much for my children.) Any recommendations? Was hoping for a doner kebab or souvlaki , but interested in any other options. We are near Porto D’Ischia, but willing to travel on the island. Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I’m heading to Ischia at the end of August and could use a bit of advice. My flight lands in Napoli at 12:40, and there's a ferry to Forio at 14:35. Do you think it's realistic to make it from the airport to the port in under two hours, or is it cutting it too close?
For context, I’m arriving from a Schengen country, so there’s no passport control, and I’ll only have hand luggage. I’d really want to avoid waiting for the 17:35 ferry...

Hi everyone, is it worth booking Giardino Eden with my eight year old? I know he can go in two of the four pools but can he go in the sea? If not, can anyone recommend a beach club around Ischia Ponte/Porto that’s suitable-ish for kids? He will be happy enough reading etc for just one day and doesn’t need a bouncy castle or anything totally “child-orientated”. We’re going to France later in the summer for a more kid friendly holiday so I’d like to relax a bit on this trip. Thank you!

Going on my honeymoon September 2nd thru 16th . We are doing capri (ceaser Augustus), praiano (casa Angelina) and ischia. As the hotels mentioned above are very expensive, we are looking to do a more budget friendly option when in ischia (so definitely not mezzatore)
From my research, the below are my top picks. Anyone have any insight?? Also will take any other recommendations for all things amalfi coast!!
Botania Realis Miramare Sea Resort Miramare e castello Pagoda lifestyle hotel Il Moresco
EDIT - we are looking to spend $600-1,100 per night

I’m excited to visit Ischia for the Festa di Sant’Anna but am wondering about logistics. I am staying in Forio- any advice on getting to Ischia Ponte, or really back to Forio after the fireworks? I assume buses will be packed and taxis scarce. Any advice on where to see everything is great too!

I’m going to Ischia with my mom in October, and would love to hear any input on my itinerary! Recommendations are much appreciated for food (anything delicious but probably not fine dining), drink, historic sites, music, art, and any other cultural experiences. We’ll be getting around by foot and public transportation.
My sister will be with us for the first few days, so her main interests (Negombo, concert at Giardini la Mortella, Castello Aragonese) are prioritized on those days. After she leaves, we’ll take things at a very relaxed pace. Mom almost always travels with dad, who is the type to pack an itinerary to the max and eat as quickly and cheaply as possible along the way. While he gets a lot done on a budget, he rarely prioritizes comfort or convenience and his trips are anything but relaxing. For once, I’d like mom to experience a trip where we’ll never stress about getting somewhere on time or fitting everything in, and we’ll be able to enjoy appropriately long meals every day. She loves nothing more than to sit in hot water with a beautiful view, and I’ll have plenty of reading & writing material along, so I’m not worried about us being bored with too much downtime but definitely open to suggestions for more that we can do, particularly while we’re staying in Sant’Angelo. Grazie mille!
A few specific questions:
Saturday, October 4: Lacco Ameno, Giardini la Mortella, Forio
Sunday, October 5: Negombo
Monday, October 6: Lacco Ameno, Ischia Ponte/Cartaromana
Tuesday, October 7: Maronti/Terme di Cavascura
Wednesday, October 8: Sant’Angelo
Thursday, October 9: Mount Epomeo
Friday, October 10: Baia di Sorgeto
Saturday, October 11: Giardini Poseidon Terme
Sunday, October 12: Forio, Giardini Ravino
Monday, October 13: Castello Aragonese
Tuesday, October 14: Return to Naples

Hey lovely folks!
I’ll be visiting in August for about 7 days, first time in this area with my father! We love seafood and just appreciate great food in general! Any recommendations when it comes to food in this area without any tourist traps ? We welcome the local food ! ❤️
