It’s easy to abdicate responsibility for combating evil onto a higher power, but there is no justice or consequence if we do not punish and stop them here on earth.

Ultimate justice does not exclude temporal justice.
Everyone will be held to account on the Day of Judgement for what they did. If you didn't fight for temporal justice on Earth, then you could very well be judged based on that.
Temporal justice is what allows ultimate justice to be carried out, i.e., it is only by being just here on Earth that we can then fairly expect to be dealt with justice on the Last Day.
