Why Metaphor was bad for you?

Too much like Persona. I absolutely despised the time gated, and very missable, events. I do no want to have to use a guide or play the game 5 times to see everything it offers.

Also, foken anime. I don't diss on people that like this style, but the characters are so anime it's crazy. To me, personally (obvious emphasis intended), anime characters are 90% of the time just walking stereotypes, with maybe 1 or 2 quirks to try to make them look like "fleshed out" characters. I hate it.

But if you like anime, you do you :D

2025 and still using anime as a derogatory term.

You'd have probably realized the very blatant emphasis I've made if you've actually read my comment.

I love most Atlus games, Persona 5 remains one of my all time faves, and I've played the hell out of 3 and 4, as well as Shin Megami Tensei 3 and 5, and plenty of smaller Atlus games.

But Metaphor just wasn't it for me. I found most of the story to be relatively basic and predictable, save for a few things. The characters just haven't clicked with me, and i find them boring. The combat is just reskinned Persona 5 for the most part, and I was hoping for at least SOMETHING to set the combat apart from P5. The soundtrack can be good at times, but awful other times. I do really like the world and lore they have set up, but I just can't get into the story, characters, and combat.
