Thanks in advance

Cheap juicer recommendations that don’t sound like a jet engine?

I want to get into juicing but most of the machines I see online are $200+ and reviewers say they’re loud enough to wake the neighbors. Does anyone know of a juicer that’s under $100, easy to clean, and won’t shake the whole kitchen counter? Bonus if it’s on Amazon and durable enough to last more than a few months.

Is Hurom H70 worth it?

I want to get cold press juicer and don’t want to deal with the cleaning process. Hurom easy clean looks attractive. I am currently torn between h200 and h70, is 150$ extra price tag for it worth it?

HSN Omega cold press juicer?

https://www.hsn.com/products/omega

Anyone have this? Seems like a good price. I'm new to juicing and *think* I want a slow press juicer since they sound like they're easier to clean. I'm mostly going to be doing green juices, kales, brocolli, carrots, things like that. Or should I get a masticating juicer?

I decided to start juicing and would appreciate any tips

Hey,

I want to start juicing and was wondering which juicer to get as a first time buyer. Mayen there is a beloved model for newcomers?

Also, I found different recipes but would be curious to know which ones are your bests.

I have been wanting to try this for a while but my girlfriend is skeptical about it... Maybe some of you could share experiences and benefits you noticed since you started juicing?

Cheers!

Question for beet juicers

I juice beets, sometimes with other vegetables, maybe 4 days a week for several years now. I notice once in a rare while I get beets from my regular market that look identical, but that taste completely different. It taste just like watery dirt. It is like there is no sugar content and no flavor profile except dirt. I would not even recognize these as the same vegetable in a blind test. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Is it better to juice or blend & strain ginger shots?

Juicing is more concentrated, but I get more liquid from blending + straining. I need to figure this out soon bc I just bought a juicer for $45 & I’ll need to return it if it’s not as good as blending & straining. I was really disappointed when I put my ginger in the juicer & all I got was a tbsp of juice, usually I’d get more with the blend + strain method. If anyone who knows what they’re talking about could help me out that would be nice, thanks!

Day two of my Nama j2. This thing is incredible at juicing. I’m trying out celery juice for the next few days. What is the serving size? I see 16oz and I see 32oz. Does anyone have a preference? I’m new to this.

Question about Manual juicers

Lately, I've seen a lot of manual cast iron juicing videos on my feed and it got me curious. I don't own any kind of juicers, but they are talking like manual juicers are as good as electric ones. But i was wondering how good is it for juicing root vegetables like ginger or curcuma ? Since they are quite dense and hard i feel like it would be hard to extract the juice (especially to make those immunity shots). Anybody tried can give their input on this ?

tens of thousands of microplastic particles from using a blender with a plastic jar

according to this science article, tens of thousands of micro plastic particles are released when using a blender with plastic jar. the plastic juicer most likely does the same thing but not as bad. maybe 10% of what a blender does. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0304389423006866?via%3Dihub

I have been juice feasting for 2 days but haven't filtered out the remaining pulp. Is it really important to do so? Also what strainer is recommended. Can use a metal strainer if so which one? Amazon link would be appreciated 🙏🏻

Just finished a 30-day juice cleanse - here's what I experienced 🍎🥒🥕

I wrapped up a full 30-day juice cleanse and wanted to share the results in case anyone's curious or considering one.

The good stuff:

  • My skin is glowing.
  • Lost 20 lbs (155 → 135) pretty effortlessly.
  • Sleep has been amazing - I've had the wildest dreams, like an all-night movie marathon in my head.
  • My overall sense of wellbeing feels incredible and I have a whole new outlook on how I want to eat going forward. I'm excited to get back to eating slowly, mindfully and building a better relationship with food.
  • Bonus: I quit caffeine effortlessly! Something I'd struggled with before but somehow, during the cleanse, it was no big deal.

The mixed bag:

  • Energy levels didn’t shoot up - in fact, I felt like they were a little lower at times. That said my baseline energy is very good. I garden, walk and hike a lot and noticed I'd get winded more easily, which had me puzzled.
  • I drank A LOT of juice, never holding back - which worked well for me but it was definitely a commitment to juicing on the reg!

What I’m expecting now:
I'll probably gain 10 lbs back, which I know isn’t "fat gain" but mostly my body refilling glycogen stores (that’s the stored carbs and water in muscles and liver). Basically, it's just my fuel tanks filling back up when I start eating whole foods again.

Takeaway:
This wasn't just a physical reset for me - it shifted how I think about food, hunger and eating habits. I don't see it as a quick fix but more like a stepping stone into a new way of fueling my body.

Has anyone else here done a longer cleanse? How did the transition back to eating feel for you? Any hot tips for eating the next week?

Large quantity apple juicer

Anyone have recommendations for an apple juicer that’s available in the UK?

We have masses of apples and our old juicer finally packed up. I need something that can easily to big batches and then it’ll hardly get used again for another year. Any recommendations?

Nama J2 super loud

Is this normal? I read on their website sometimes items with dry outer surfaces can make noise. But this happens all the time. My j2 is like 2 months old. Its super loud, like louder than a normal blender. I sent them an email but havent gotten a response yet.

Anyone have try the Hurom E50-ST ?

Hello everyone,

Living in France, I'm looking for a good juicer.

I've decided on the Hurom brand, but I'm hesitating between two models: the H70-ST (I don't really like the pulp, so I'm ruling out the H70-FT), and the new E50-ST, which is a little more affordable and has two sieves.

Has anyone tried the E50-ST or have a review link?

I've also read a lot of negative comments about the brand's after-sales service. Do you have any feedback on that as well?

Have a nice day!

Mechanical juicer

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi!

I’ve seen a video of this juicer and I’m thinking about buying one because I like that it’s mechanical, really simple, and quiet. Are mechanical juicers worth the price (around €60)? Are they reliable and efficient? I’d mainly use it for citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, grapefruits).

Thank you!

Any ideas for what to do with leftover fruit/veggie bits?

hiya! just got a juicer and i love it. obviously learned very quickly that it takes a lot to simply make a small amount of juice. was wondering if you guys do anything with the leftover scraps? it seems wasteful to just throw it all away. i have so much. 😕 was thinking maybe doing something with pasta. or even muffins somehow. there’s gotta be a use besides just binning and wasting all of this.

Buying Nama j2 in Canada

Has anyone recently bought this juicer from Canada direct from the Nama website? I’d like to buy it as a birthday gift to my wife, but am concerned about cost of duties and tariffs.

Thanks!

Juicer top stuck and won’t twist open at all

Post image

I have this model of juicer and after juicing it one day the lid just won’t twist open. I’m thinking whether it’s too much pulps clogging inside but there’s just no way for me to check. I tried soaking it in hot water and leaving in water for several days but still it’s just stuck so hard and not turning at all. I’m honestly at a loss for what to do
