Censoring on Peacock

I started rewatching the series on Peacock, and realized something strange. They bleep (mute) every instance of the word "f@g". The fact it's almost always spoken by Scott makes it even stranger. Any idea why they do this?

Seeing running Fgg* and F*! And FggOS! faggo Censored is actually jarring. They do it on the Office too, with the word F@g and r3t@rd, even though both instances are Micheal Scott being obtuse and/or apologetic
